During the summer of 2009, I served as a corporate communications intern for Corning Incorporated. For one morning, my colleagues and I volunteered for the United Way's Day of Caring. They assigned us to help repaint a Salvation Army that is used for a summer children's program. While working, the local newspaper visited and happened to run this photo of my supervisor and I hard at work.
