2.0 Introduction

The material handling and material storage system is the minimizing cost of using in
production process and reducing the time, it also a help of material handling
equipment to change the manufacturing design process, reduce the damage of material
and employee working time.

Factors of Material Handling and Storage System

The material handling and storage system must address the following problems:

 Maximum production cost

The material procurement cost is more and manufacturing process and facility cost is
more expensive. It’s also more wastage of material and less quality of finished
product.

 Maximum production time

The main reason for production time is longer process of production flow or design,
it’s also poor working condition and employee waste of energy to working.

3.7 Research Type

Research in common parlance refers to a search for knowledge. One can also define
research as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific
topic. In fact, research is an art of scientific investigation. Research is an academic
activity as such the term should be used in a technical sense.

3.8 Research Design

Research design is a conceptual structure with in which research is conducted. It

constituted primarily based regarding studied for collection of measurement and
analysis of data. The type research design used is descriptive research. The descriptive
research includes the surveys and fact finding enquiries of different kind of
influencing factors. The major purpose of descriptive research is description of the
state of affairs, as it exists at present.

3.8.1 Descriptive Research

Descriptive research is describing the characteristic of the population in the company

based of studied. In the descriptive analysis is individual variable analysis and
combination of the group analysis.

38
The descriptive analysis two categories like quantitative variable and categorical
variable. In this quantitative variable is quantity of the individual person or numerical
of age, weight and etc. that are the information collected from the researcher.

The categorical variable is the technique of the collecting the data and the number are
data collecting in a group of people or categories. Also, data that is collected in the
methods of an either/or (or) Yes/No situation.

3.8.2 Survey of Instruments

The researcher collecting data from the respondent with the way of questionnaire and
its easy way of collect the data with the use of scaling methods. This scaling methods
used for very easy to collect answer of the respondent. The scaling types are likert
scale, bipolar scale and numeric scale and category scale.

3.8.3 Types of Data Collected

The researcher used two methods to collecting the date, which are primary data and
secondary data that’s are given below

3.8.3.1 Primary Data

Questionnaire was prepared and interview was conducted. Most of the questions are
consist of multiple choices. The questionnaires were conducted in English. Generally,

In this project percentage method test was used. The following is the formula:

Percentage of Respondent No .of Respondent

= *100
Total no. of Respondents

3.8.5.2 Simple Correlation

Association is an estimation that appraisals how much two assurances move as per
each other. Associations are used in forefront portfolio the administrators, figured as
the relationship coefficient, which has a value that must fall between - 0.5 and 0.5.

n ( Σ xy )−( Σx ) ( Σy )
r=
√¿ ¿ ¿

3.8.5.3 Chi Square Analysis

The Chi Square estimation is routinely used for testing associations between
unmitigated variables. The invalid hypothesis of the Chi-Square test is that no
relationship exists on the hard and fast factors in the masses; they are self-governing.

40
A model research question that could be tended to using a Chi-Square assessment
would be there an imperative association between voter plan and ideological
gathering enrolment.

The calculation of the Chi-Square statistic is quite straight-forward and intuitive

Σ ( O−E ) 2
x 2=
E

As depicted in the condition, the Chi-Square estimation relies upon the differentiation
between what is truly found in the data and what may be typical if there was really no
association between the components.

3.8.5.4 F – Test

A "F Test" is a stunt all term for any test that uses the F-dissemination. A significant
part of the time, when people talk about the F-Test, what they are truly examining is
The F-Test to Compare Two Variances. Regardless, the f-estimation is used in a
combination of tests including backslide assessment

3.8.5.5 ANOVA

An Anova test is a way to deal with see whether audit or investigation results are
tremendous. So to speak, they help you to comprehend if you need to expel the
invalid hypothesis or recognize the substitute hypothesis. On a very basic level, you're
attempting social occasions to check whether there's a differentiation between them.
Examples of when you should test different social occasions a get-together of mental
patients are endeavouring three one of a kind medications: prompting, remedy and
biofeedback. You have to check whether one treatment is better than the others. A
maker has two one of a kind strategies to make lights. They have to know whether
one method is better than the following. Understudies from different schools step
through a comparable exam. You have to check whether one school defeats the other

5.2 Suggestions

 The working environment and infrastructure is good It is suggested that the

company can improve the working strategies material handling and storage
system maintain the production department on basis of the current programs.
 The company is doing its regular activity in a traditional way it would be fine
if the company can give a more training which is connected with new
technology of material handling machine and also it required more space to
storing the finished goods.
 Here the company facing issues every day without providing solution to it. It
would be better if the company can take steps to reduce problems by
appointing the proper person, to address the problem in production area.
 When the company is going for the procuring the raw materials i.e. (Pulp) they
collecting all kind of the pulp with testing even though. Sometimes they allow
the less taste pulp, which causes the taste in the final product. So, it’s
advisable to the company to acquire the quality one for the production.
 Machinery can get affected by its continuous production in the company, once
the issue has been solved in the machinery, it’s a duty of the company to check
with the proper interval where the company is failed to check the machinery,
so it’s advisable to the company to maintain with the proper interval.

83
 Most of the time where the machine is under the ideal time, which is not
focused by the company, so it is advisable to tack care of the ideal time, in
order to reduce the machine idle time capacity and improve the optimum
usage of space in the organization.
 The company following in a traditional method where it’s follows manual
material handling and machine material handling, so being the upgraded
world, the company must adapt new technology to increasing the production
and use the optimize the source available.
5.3 Conclusion

Effective material handling and material storage system are the life blood of the
organization. I determines the success of the company. Material handling increases
the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing organization. Since it has many
significant contributions which are finally the results in reduction cost by using
material handling the organization can save the time, reduce the number of labour and
save the space improving the working condition etc. through the help of the effective
material handling and material storage system, the company upgrading the efficiency
of its own. To avoid the material shortages and misplacement loss and theft which
might result in increased the crew idle times, loss of productivity and delay of
activities. The company need to adopt an efficient material handling and material
storage system in order to with stand in the market.
