Life in a big city is mostly fast-paced. There is a lot of competition all

around. Everyone wants to do better than the other and they keep struggling day
and night to further their aim without considering the consequences.

Things like this make me think the city is like hell . the disadvantages of
living in a big city: First. The cost of living in the big cities is quite high. life in
Big cities is definitely more expensive than in small towns. Jakarta is the city with
the most expensive cost living in Indonesia is no secret that Jakarta is one of the
regions in Indonesia that has expensive living costs every month. you have to
spend up to Rp. 15,000 for one meal in Jakarta, not to mention the cost of housing
that seems to be unable to negotiate. The cost of boarding in the Jakarta area can
be twice or even three times higher than Jogja. In addition, because it already
bears the title of a big city, the price of goods needed there is also increasingly
expensive. if you want to live happily in the capital city you must rich.

Second, Jobs. Many companies are setting up shop in warmer and less
costly places, which means that people pondering getting out of the Bengkulu can
now find work. Jakarta, for example, has seen massive job growth since the
recession — and some of the new jobs there are in fields you wouldn’t normally
think of as characteristic of Jakarta. For example, technology. tokopedia, shopee
all recently built or expanded offices in jakarta, as have many others.

Next, crime rates are much higher in big cities than in either small cities or
rural areas, and this situation has been relatively pervasive for several centuries.
Because Higher pecuniary benefits for crime in large cities can explain
approximately 27% of the effect for overall crime, though obviously much less of
the urban- crime connection for non-pecuniary crimes such as rape or assault.
Lower arrest probabilities and lower probability of recognition are a feature of
urban life, but these factors seem to explain at most 20% of the urban crime effect.
The remaining 45-60% of the effect can be related to observable characteristics of
individuals and cities.

Disadvantages other: population density, intensive urban growth can lead

to greater poverty, with local governments unable to provide services for all
people. Concentrated energy use leads to greater air pollution with a significant
impact on human health. Automobile exhaust produces elevated lead levels in
urban air. Large volumes of uncollected waste create multiple health hazards.
Urban development can magnify the risk of environmental hazards such as flash
flooding. Pollution and physical barriers to root growth promote the loss of urban
tree cover. Animal populations are inhibited by toxic substances, vehicles, and the
loss of habitat and food sources.

Conclusion Life in a big city seems to be easy but it is actually quite

tough. It can be extremely challenging. Not everyone can survive here.
