Autobiography
Our Journey in AFCS SY. 2019-2020
by Christian Verosil

INTRODUCTION:

Perseverance, a continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or

opposition: the action or condition or an instance of persevering. A lot of you questioned, Is
Perseverance an attitude? a strength? Is it a good thing? How can you show it? Is it important
for us in leadership? Well, all of your questions are true! Why, because when we persevere in
school or other places or events, we can understand the values of hard work, hone our
problem-solving skills and take responsibility for our academic progress. We shouldn’t make
excuses or blame others for failure. Perseverance is the most essential key to success. The
achievements without perseverance are impossible. An idle person can never gain anything if
they sit and wait for a better opportunity to come. The person who is persevering can gain
success and happiness in life. Students like us, Fellow Faithians, should always have an effort in
continuing spite of difficulties until we accomplish our tasks like homework, performance tasks,
recitation, or even our studies when we have exams or quizzes in our school.

MY STORY:

Oh my, I forgot to introduce myself, I’m Christian Philip B. Verosil, I’m a 12-year-old 7th-
grade Faithian, And I live in Puerto Rico Strt., Mira Verde Homes, Brgy. San Luis, Antipolo
City. I studied now at Antipolo Faith Christian School because teachers and students there are
continually praying for each other during challenging times and in good times – providing an
inclusive, loving learning environment where everyone feels supported and welcome. In addition
to physical well-being, Christian schools offer a safe emotional and spiritual environment. By the
way, my two sisters also studied there when they were younger. So I want to step on and study
in Antipolo Faith Christian School just like my sisters because I want to learn more about the
word of God and the Christian environment in that school. So I started to get up, eat, brush,
pack my things and go to school right away. My mom sent me to Antipolo Faith by the way.
Whoo! “That was a long trip!”, my mind said. But it’s good I went to school right on time. So I
said goodbye to my mom, kissed her and entered the school with a good look/attitude. When I
entered the school, I've noticed that I’m feeling Déjàvu right now because I remembered that I
also studied there when I was in 1st Grade in Antipolo Faith Christian School. Looks like I’m
having a fresh start huh? Anyways I’m walking all by myself through the hallway up to the stairs
because the Grade 7 class is on the 4th floor. I’m surprised because it’s all away up to the
rooftop. My feet got tired because our school has many stairs but I just keep going until I

reached our class. I'm already outside the 7th Grade class and when I looked quietly outside the
door all by myself, I saw a lot of students inside the class and I was so nervous that even my
whole body was shaking and my skin got pale because of the nervous that I’ve got. I entered the
class and a lot of students looked directly on me because they’ve thought that I’m new here. I
sat down on the chair and get ready for a new day at school. Also, we’re 49 in the class and I got
shocked because when I’m in elementary, we’re only 21 students in 6 th grade and I’m surprised
that I am gonna have new friends to conversate and participate with good grades in our school.
Even the students next to me were asking a lot of questions like “What’s your name?” or “Where
do you live??” and “What school did you graduate from?”, something like that. I answered and
talked to them nervously because It’s the first time I talked to the new students inside the class.

OKAY, so it’s Homeroom time and we’re doing bell work to start our first
class up to the last. Back then, I was so nervous to be in high school but now
I’m so excited to start every day and have an educational experience dealing
with all areas in this school year, giving us the a Christ-Centered education,
evaluate all life’s experiences and knowledge from a Biblical perspective, I
will develop an understanding of one’s unique responsibility to God, I will
also have a deeper sense of existence by understanding God’s purpose of
creating everything, And I will be trained on how to be a good leader and
being a good influence in our community. For this 1st quarter, I will begin to
make a good start on my studies and my grades in our school. A lot of
teachers introduce themselves, we start learning new things, and others like
that. We start participating in school like group projects, and we help each
other to make our work more accurate to have good results. But a few new
students are a bit shy but they’re still adjusting to themselves. During the 1 st
day, teachers begin to write the schedule of our subjects, they begin writing
reminders and assignments to us, and others like that.

Finally, it’s RECESS AND LUNCH time now. This is a good time to relax,
eat, and talk to each other so that we can have a right time to rest and study
again. I even had my first friend now! His name is James Aaron Trayfalgar;
his also sitting next to me and we were having a lot a fun time together like
chatting, reviewing, focusing our studies, and we even try our best to solve
the objectives in school. Few minutes later, it’s already DISMISSAL time!
When I get home, I already do my assignments, studies for block
assessments or quizzes and others to rest my mind and start reviewing if I
have enough time to do that. Today, I feel a lot of fun at school because I get
to answer some questions, reciting, solving problems, lots of stuff. I get to
learn new things to understand and evaluate answers when we have block
assessments. I have this feeling that I will have a good time at AFCS because

by God’s help we can create a truly happy family in this school year 2019-
2020 and a place where we can grow together physically, emotionally,
intellectually, socially and most of all spiritually. I even met the teachers last
time until now like Ms. Cortez; our adviser, Science, Music, Health, and a
Tle teacher, Ms. Saiya; Our English teacher, Ms. Ocopio; our Math teacher,
Ms. Ebalobor; our Filipino teacher, Ms. Marero; our Ap teacher, Sir Jhong;
our C.E teacher, Sir Tugay; our Art teacher, Sir Patrick; our Elective
teacher, And lastly, Sir Mike! Our principal and he is our teacher in Music.
Today I had quite many friends including Jeffery Soriano, Hadi Altalyea,
Jaaron Trayflagar what iv’e said, David Sabando, Krish Tendulkar, and all of
them. In our school, we have different events or courses like the Venture,
Leadership trainings, and other events that may entertain to students!
Including the Intramurals; we try our best to show our best chant and yell,
we had fun with laughter together, we always try to shout and cheer the
volleyball players including our friends Krish, Rhobin, Nica, Yohance, Bradly,
and other players that they will try their best during the game. Weather they
win or lose, we should always persevere and keep practicing so that they can
focus easily on the game next time. The event was so fun that even my
friends are joining at sports many times and cheering loudly to the players.
We didn’t win but that’s okay, at least hey tried their best. The next is our
Leadership training, we learned about the importance of using hashtags in
thye word of God, we also define the positive and negative effects of using or
indentifying hashtags in our everyday lives, and we even learned more about
memory verses that relates in using hashtags in our daily lives. And last but
not the least, I will share my experience when I participated in the CAPSAA
Speech Choir Competition 2019 (Sept. 5, 2019) at Sumulong Memorial Annex
Highschool. I was the only Gr. 7 student who joined the so called event. We
are called, “The Familia Balladista”! At first, we thought that we can’t make
it through the competition seeing participants of different schools who are
competitive aswell in terms of their props, attire, and of course, their
performances. But later on, we thought that we can do this and we can show
them how great is our performance, our talent, and ourselves. With the help
of our beloved coach, Sir Omps San Juan, and my fellow faithians; Adrian,
Luna, Armer, Denn, Bolinas, Gabby, Gaea, Vince, Jacob, Jaira, Blue, Justin,
Liam, Marchelo, Neomi, Princess, Reign, Cargamento, Merencilla, Samantha,
Seth, Pati, Yuri, Zekiah, Zxynna, and yours truly, Christian! Before we leave
from AFCS to the event, Our coach led us the prayer. We fervently prayed to
God for guidance and by winning the competition of CAPSAA. So we did our
best to win the competition. And we are! The Grand Champion of CAPSAA
Speech Choir 2019! YAHOO! It made our hearts and minds glow like a star.
We were so happy that our coach cried with tears of joy, so we are. We give

thanks , praise, and have the glory of God, our Lord, Jesus Christ. Because
without Him, we can do nothing. As a reward for that, He gave the true
motivation of a happy family as “Familia Balladista”. I shared this story
because from what I’ve said from the beginning about PERSEVERANCE, we
should always try our best and persevere so that we can attain our goals of
what we’ve dreamt for and we should always try our best to gain success
and happiness in life if we have any spite of difficulties or common problems
in our path/way.

THE END
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS US ALL!
