ISO 17637 - NDE of Fusion Weld – Visual Examination

WELDING INSPECTOR VISUAL INSPECTION

Duties Condition
i. Code Compliance – must refer to:
 Application Standard
 Quality plans/ inspection check list – type
600mm (max.)
of and extent of inspection
 Drawing – Check fit up and dimension
 QC procedure – for document control,
material handling, WPS, electrode storage,
etc.  Illumination:
ii. Good workmanship -350 lux (min.)
iii. Assist with Quality Control to ensure -500 lux (rec.) – normal shop/office
welded items meet specified requirement lighting
