screens
Series EC
• No maintenance required.
Description
The functioning system is similar to the one used in the vibrating conveyors, obtaining the separation
of the solid materials from the liquid ones. The EC dewatering screens are driven by two URBAR
unbalanced motors.
The backside and the bottom of the structure are equipped with a non blinding polyurethane rack,
made of trapezoidal profiles. The bottom is made with an ascendant angle to the discharge, avoiding
that the water goes out by the front part.
In the inlet, most of the product incoming to the dewatering screen goes quickly through the back
racks. At the same time, and due to the vibration result, the liquid leaks under the gravity effect, inside
the mixture, going out through the bottom racks. A part of the solid part smaller than the rack light is
lost with the water but it can be eventually retrieved by a settling tank and poured out again to the
drain rack.
The material characteristics have a considerable influence in the efficiency and the production
capacity. Depending on the product to be handled, at the end of the drain operation, a 10 to 15%
moisture residual degree can be obtained, which is the limit through mechanical means.
The light of the racks is chosen in accordance with the material size composition. The available lights
for the dewatering screens are the following: 0,2x11; 0,3x11; 0,4x11; 0,5x11; 0,8x11; 1,0x11; 1,2x11 y
1,4x11 mm.

Construction details
The polyurethane panels, in which zone the dewatering process is made, are mounted by a modular
system, with 300 mm width transversal units.
The dewatering screen is equipped with a system allowing a simple panels switching, without any
additional fixing element.
The side parts are protected with polyethylene plates, fixed in the upper part with wedges. These
protection plates fix the polyurethane plates to the frame.
