WE ALL BREATHE THE SAME AIR

Assalamualaikum wr wb

Good morning honorable judges and fellow participants. First of all let us praise to
the almighty Allah SWT because of his everlasting mercy we are able to attend
this speech contest. Ladies and gentleman it’s a very great pleasure for me to
deliver my speech titled “We All Breathe the Same Air”.

Humanity can be defined as quality of being human, by which he or she is

distinguished from other beings. Humanity means extending unconditional love to
each and every living being on Earth. But the thing that we have to realize is by
being human does not mean that every individual possesses humanity.

Just look around you, we can see people fighting, people stealing, or even killing
one another with reasons that doesn’t make sense . Now ask yourself is that the
humanity that we really want?

We have to face the reality that humanity today is regressing. Whatever steps we

take forward, they take us back as human beings. Let’s take an example people
cut down trees for paper. For us humans it is beneficial, but have you ever
thought of the outcome for animals that live in the area around it? By doing so
you will take their home. That will mean you will also take their comfort, shelter
and chance of survival.

So it is important to understand one more important fact; an individual’s life is

successful not by the number of degrees he or she attains but by the degree of
humanitarian activities that individual is into on a day to day basis. We are
extremely lucky to have everything we desire at any point of the time we need.
By small efforts we can already make a big difference if we do it together. Lifting
the heavy bag of an old woman is humanity, helping a disabled to cross the road
is humanity, helping your mom in doing work is humanity; in fact helping anyone
who is in need is humanity.
As soon as we understand the importance of humanity in day to day life, the
purpose for which we are on Earth is automatically fulfilled.

So like the title of my speech” We Breathe the Same Air” we have to cherish the
world and every living being in it because we are all equal. By being equal it has
given us the opportunity to learn from one another. It also teaches us the
differences between every individual and the fact that they make us a unity, not
tear us apart.

I have a dream where no man or woman stands alone. To achieve that dream we
have to stand up for what is not only right, but also for things that we believe in.
The world is dangerous not only because of those who do harm but also because
of those who look at it without doing anything. So from now on the responsibility
to maintain humanity in the world is in your arms. Yes yours so take actions and
make the difference.

Wassalamualaikum wr wb
