About the Author

Greetings of the time.

I was born in the Waikato hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand, in 1976.
I have experienced many things during my life so far.
This book has drawn its inspiration
within my experiences after being attuned to Reiki.

Christopher A. Haumaha
Two hearts

Two hearts entered as one whole,

As we are in this joy,
Open up as we are received,
Freely given in two whole hearted.

Conceive of a drug addled mind, seeking healing

next to a truth, and you will begin to see the
picture behind this poem.
A peak

As love enters unbidden into our hearts,

Joy overwhelms us as love uplifts our emotions,
Happiness shines through us as our hearts blaze forth.

Love is such a wonderful thing. As I read in a book, “Sometimes

we make love an impossible thing, that no human can fulfill our
needs.”
The Hidden

Time bounds by from moment to moment,

The mind wanders through space and time,
Seeking that which is lost from most,
Amidst radiations of light.

Here I was seeking the truth.

Realms of Mystery

As we walk down the path of life,

We experience our moments through the gateways of the soul,
Entered into the realms mystical and of mystery,
Where all is magical and alive with feelings,
Love creeps upon unbidden and unfolding,
Compassion comforts and cares for you while you wait,
Joy enfolds and embraces you through your trails,
Do you feel their support and nurturing?

This poem acknowledges the emotions which we feel.

Time

Time moved forward,

Moments passed me by,
Light came into being,
Darkness appeared also by side,
'Tis a wonderful thing to see two parts together.

Simply put, I had a thought that two things should be together.

Growth

As you move onwards towards the goal,

As you experience your daily trials,
As you build on your knowledge,
You knowledge your part that you play,
You understand more what you do,
You perceive actions more clearer.

This poem reflects a message I received from a friend, which

helped me clarify myself further.
Desire

I touch the city where she is,

Full of love, sadness and compassion,
I give energy, emotional and soulful.

For those who have read my first commercial ebook, this is

another poem describing the thoughts and feelings I had when
thinking of my friend.
Moments

Time flows onwards,

Moments pass by,
Do you feel them,
As they drift through your soul.

As I noticed time within the world, so did my thoughts occur.

Time

Time moves so slowly,

As I wait for my time to come,
To be calm and patient is the key,
To overcoming this struggle in life.

To be impatient is not how to be. Patience is a virtue. Possess it if

you can.
Time

As time passes by,

Moment by moment,
As change happens,
Instance by instance,
We are in life.

Another thought that was transformed poetically.

The beginning

The knowledge comes to me;

My feelings respond;
I desire to be known;
I desire to be felt.

I do believe this was the first poem I wrote after leaving work. I
had written one earlier, but that is lost forever, as another thought
it was about her, when it was about me.
The thought

The thought appears;

It is considered;
It is pondered;
It is rejected.

A look at the process of weighing thoughts.

A day

Knowledge flows back and forth,

Some is truth, some an extension of truth;
People listen for that knowledge;
People accept some that knowledge;
The light moves on,
The darkness lies stillest;
Time passes as things come into balance,
All is well in this place of mine.

As the title says, this poem is about a day I had, but, “...this place
of mine.” is kinda self-centred, I think.
Nature

The sun touches the horizon at the dawn of the day,

Bringing warmth and light to us here,
The moon recedes from our view for a time,
Bringing light and mystery to those beyond us,
The oceans rise and ebb according to nature,
Bringing us food and water each time,
The rivers flow swiftly towards their destination,
Bringing us highways on which we may traverse,
Nature turns and comes about in time with her path,
Allowing us sustenance and comfort when we need it.

Here are some thoughts about nature that I perceived.

Mine

As my rhyme rolls in the rhythm,

As my rhythm beats in time,
I wonder what is given,
I wonder what is mine.

I still wonder what is mine. As I thought, “Who has anything to

give but what he has, and what does he have but what God
gives?”
Shape shifting

The forms flow,

From shape to shape,
Inspiring wonder,
From the observer.

It is simply amazing how shadows work.

The journey

As you travel through life,

Your path reveals itself,
As you make your choices,
Your destiny unfolds before you.

A piece of knowledge that unfolded within my mind.

Divergence

As two make their journeys,

A divergence in their oneness occurs,
Friendship turns to loneliness,
Love turns to hate,
Jealously and envy rear their heads,
Inevitably competition forms,
Why, oh why, couldn't have they agreed?

Based on a fear I have, but put poetically, I hope.

Life

As I move through time,

Confusion and anger arises from within,
To be serene and calm is the way to be,
To be strong and endure is also how to be.

A look into how I feel sometimes, but then, if you don't

understand, it happens.
Ghosts

Wandering in search of home,

They pass through me,

Asking for answers,

Felt by another,

We go.

A poem I conceived of when thinking of ghosts.

The task

The year of the dragon is nearly come yet again,

The cycle waiting to be completed, as the world turns;

Enter the plane of existence of myself,

As I stand here amidst the stars in the sky,

Symbols of healing floated to my mind,

As I sat conscious of my dreams,
At the time where my rest began;

My knowledge gathers itself,

Dictated by the task;

I wonder anew.

I don't know when I wrote this, except I feel it was a look into the
past from the then present. It shows of a few things that were
revealed from deep within. It may have been from the time of my
attunement to Reiki.
Love

As I wander through my days,

My heart brims full of sadness,
Of the love I hold for my friend.

I must've been a cat, caterwauling on the wall of my poetry.

Tamahere Healing Centre

Comradeship, fellowship, friendship,

Its all here,
Populated by people,
Gifted with grace,
Great is the love,
Infinite is the care,
A time to cherish,
And a time to hold dear.

A tribute to a place I visited.

The pigeon

It wanders looking,
Underneath, its booking,
On,
Sustenance for its family,
It looks kind of mellow

I saw a pigeon gathering food, and so the poem evolved.

My path

As I walk through life,

Pain and suffering come my way,
As I become more aware,
I clear and heal the dis-ease as necessary,
I wander into new worlds,
Providing and receiving all that is,
Helping to nurture and create,
Peace, love and harmony along my path.

This poem is about how I thought things were. Now I know that
I'm happy when I give.
Universal

I awaken to the universe,

Aware of the spiritual,
Open to the physical,
Look within and find serenity;

Infinite is the strength,

Unlimited in being,
Gentle in being,
Its there for you;

Caring in guidance,
Tender in concern,
Loving in support,
Open up and receive.

This may be a thought concerning God, which I simply confused

with the universe.
Healing

Set adrift amidst a new world,

Bound to fear of being alone,

The pain of regret,

Lessons learnt,

A change within,
A chance to heal.

To put it eloquently, I was poetically in love with sound.

Love

My tears fall unbidden,

From a love;

I cry for what can be,

I cry for what is.

A poem about my feelings when reading of love in a book.

Knowledge

As I stand here,
Knowledge passes through my mind,
Where to begin?,
When to stop?

As I read, a persons knowledge is a drop in the ocean of

knowledge.
Nature

The change of nature,

Caused by man,
Rebelling 'gainst the way,
Is a way to be,
Acceptance and change,
Is a way to be,
To decide and abide you must,
Till the ending and beginning.

Isn't interesting how the earth is changing because of us.

The future

To journey forth,
Exploration due in to life,
Did you remember the future?

Walking down the road and I sense.

Traveling

Traveling eases the pain,

Opening to the new,
The goal is in sight,
How far do we go?

To hold on whilst traveling causes me to be nauseous, simply

because I am moving, and things flow together better.
The poet

Wandering the house,

Observing and gathering;

Curiosity rears itself,

The poet has arrived.

Understanding poetically can help people understand you better.

The turning of time

The turning of time,

Moving onwards towards destiny,
The past awakens;

Reminiscing on the past,

Was the reason me?,
Carried the guilt of not being there;

Thinking of the present,

Healing the wounds,
Comforting the hurting;

Journeying to the future,

Meeting those gone,
Understanding the purpose;

The turning of time,

Moving onwards towards destiny,
The past lays dormant.

To move in His time is perfect.

Untitled

I sit here,
Lonely and sad,
Warmth of the heart,
Easing my pain,
Why oh why,
Can it not be?

I regret being alone, yet it simply taught the lesson of unity.

Life

Going through the years,

People fade away and go home,
Regrets well up from within;

Chance offers the choice,

To wallow in pain,
Or to turn to healing;

Suffering and angst 'gainst hate,

Despair flows through me,
Life offers love;

Passing along the way,

Beauty shows itself,
Ever shining forth;

Softly does it come,

Inspired by loving,
Singing of experience;

Walking the path,

Of choices made,
Why oh why was it not so before?

As I see my life today, I was moving and journeying with a plan.

Rhyme

As the poem flowed,

And the wind blowed,
The rhyme was tight.

Music is nice.
Nature

The sun doth shine,

The moon doth glow,
The stars do twinkle,
Amidst the ebony background of space;

The wind doth blow,

The birds do fly,
Here amongst the trees;

The grass doth sparkle,

Upon firm ground;

Nature doth play.

Nature may co-exist with us, but do we care for it?...totally.

Untitled

'Ware the choices of love;

To choose the unlovable,

Causes hearts to be broken.

A thought that I thought concerning a love I had.

The lamp

Come hither,
As the river flows down this road;

The joy of giving,

From your wealth of dreams;

Satisfaction attained,
From meaningful deeds and tasks;

Wholly loved,
From a well-tended garden.

I read a book entitled The Lamp, which was gifted by Amway

IBOs, Phil & Cath. Thanks you guys for the knowledge.
Bent time

Bent time curves,

Flowing endlessly in spirals,
Touching upon the world.

This poem is based upon a thought that my friend & I discussed.

Tomorrow

Glistening gaseous glass,

Distorting the flickering view,
Of tomorrow.

Another look at the thought my friend & I discussed from another

perspective.
Hope

The hum of wind blown air,

Reaches forth to ears distant,
Whispering the hope of today.

I hope and pray that this is true.

Life

The twirling spiral,

Evolves amidst life,
Watching and learning,
Growing and being.

A virus described.
Resonance of life

The resonance of life,

Echoes through time,
Singing whispered words,
As it flows onwards.

Isn't part of life a sound?

Beauty

Twisting sideways into love,

Churning emotions rumble deep within,
I looked down and beheld beauty,
Glistening green growth.

Nature at its best.

Loneliness

The pain of loss,

The suffering of loneliness
The hopelessness of being lost.

God's love nourishes us throughout time.

Unity

As I sit here unafraid,

Fear surrounds me,
Seeking an entrance,
To break the power,
That I hold for the world’s people,
Of the love that binds us together.

To be or not to be, is the question.

Untitled

Oh woe is me,
Unwell in my mind;

Still, hope burns on and on,

Till the end of delusion;

The Son cares for me,

My nature is regressing;

Here is my expression:
"I lament the day."

Sorry I was feeling sorry for myself that day.

Gifted

I see regrets in a life,

I see regrets in myself,

I recognise love in myself,

I recognise love in a life;

Gifted with a heart to feel,

I perceive the gift in others.

Empathy is a great gift. Acceptance is better than rejection when

empathising.
