INTRODUCTION

Community is where all the people live in a particular area, or a group of people
who are considered as a unit because of their shared interests or background. It
sometimes used to mean society in general. (Cambridge Dictionary)

The community we live in is part of who we are. Even if we don’t see our
neighbors every day, we recognize that the decision we make impact those around us.
We’re all in it together, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We as a group
conducted an interview at Sitio Kalipa, New Pangasinan because our goal is to
promote, protect and preserve the health of the community. We wanted to promote
healthy lifestyle, prevent disease and health problems, and provide direct care and to
educate the community about managing chronic conditions and making a healthy
choices.

Community Health Survey is one method that the researchers used in conducting
this Community Diagnosis. Aside from doing a house-to-house visitation and
observation, the Community Health Survey form helped a lot on collecting data from the
community.

As we observed, there are some household in Sitio Kalipa were not surveyed
because their homes are closed. But fortunately, we researchers were able to get the
attention and cooperation of the families. The community of Sitio Kalipa is far from
health facilities such as, Health Centers, Clinics and Hospitals. Based on our interview
they stated that even they’re far from those health facilities but, they make ways for
them to go to that said health facilities for them to be confined or to be checked. In Sitio
Kalipa, New Pangasinan the ethnicity of the people there are mostly Maguindanaon.

reasons. The major reason for children’s increased susceptibility is that their
immunologic defenses haven’t yet built. Children also don’t always practice good

laugh at them because our impression to men are strong that they should not cry, in
women they are more prone in depression it is because they are letting themselves be
affected by how they feel. But it is more preferable in men to lead. In a society it is
better to have more male because it makes the community more secured, men are

they are treat their selves as a brother and sister or a family that they have common
beliefs in terms of health aspects. Ethnicity is all about your lifestyle, culture and
behavior. And just like your genetics, all of these affect your health risks.Do people in
your culture eat a low-fat diet that is high in fruits and vegetables? Do they take walks
as a family after dinner? Those are positive customs. On the flipside, some ethnicities
have higher rates of smoking and more damaging diets. It is matter because if you’re part
of a group with a higher genetic risk, you often can reduce that risk by making better
lifestyle choices. But you can only do that if you have an open, honest discussion about
both ancestry and ethnicity with your care team.

to all things. Some of the community has lower risk of injuries and improve air quality. It
also increase social connection and sense of community. In community they are united
through a common struggle with the same stories. The same stories help bond the
group together over time. Living in a community for a long time has a great advantage
than those who are new to the community. They still need to adjust to things they are
not used to because of the differences.

appropriate behavior. Children receive consistent messages about behavioral
expectations. Nuclear families have more daily routines, like eating dinner together, and
spending more time together, adding to consistency. Nuclear families play an important
role in the development of personality of individuals. Children are more close to parents
and can have more free and frank discussion about their problems with parents which
helps for the better development of their personality. This is one way of turning out good
citizens. The lady of the house gets enough time to look after her children. She also
gets time to plan and manage to clean her house independently. There is no
interference of elders. Her husband can also devote more attention to the wife in
nuclear family in discussing their plans for the future, the children’s education and
health. The will and desires to children are favourably considered and are given proper
weight. Typically, all members of a nuclear family are emotionally secure as there is no
one else to act superior to the others, creating any complex. Nuclear family are in a
good condition rather than those who are in extended family because in this set up or
structure parents face much greater expenses than in cases of families with a smaller
number of children. Parents are also less likely to control their children because of being

the community because based on my observation and based on their statement their
houses are not yet finished so they just stay here temporarily.

Both home designs and structures significantly influence housing quality and may
affect mental and physical health. Steps, balconies, and windows are features of home
designs that may present a threat to safety, especially for individuals with physical
disabilities. Lack of housing maintenance may lead to poor housing conditions inside
the home as well as poor housing conditions outside the home. This conditions may
harm health by increasing exposure to hazards such as carbon monoxide, allergens
and lead in paint, pipes, and faucets. Carbon monoxide has been shown to cause heart

this is because of their types of houses like concrete and they don’t have lots of trees in
their surroundings so that’s why they have poor ventilated area.
Health Implementations

Ventilation reduces the prevalence of airborne infection diseases and thus

the number of sick leave days. Poor indoor air quality can lead to peoples suffering
from headaches, fatigue, hypersensitivity, and allergies, sinus congestion dizziness,
shortness of breath, coughing and nausea. Good ventilation maintains good health.
Improving design for ventilation can increase air exchanges and air quality thereby
reducing health risk. It has been estimated that improving natural ventilation reduces
lung-related illnesses by up to 20%. Having a natural ventilation according to WHO can
provide significant health benefits, but must be examined to prevent predictable risks.
For instance, natural ventilation in settings where outdoor air pollution is greater than
indoor air pollution may not be beneficial. Similarly, ventilation without screening
measures can allow for the entry of pests that carry diseases in certain environments.
And open windows at street level can pose a security risk in neighborhoods where
crime is a serious issue.

help a child mature faster than the one who doesn’t for various reasons. Personal style,
letting the child choose their own personal style and feel like they have a space to
express themselves. It gives them control over their own space and give them higher
sense of self-esteem, which is valuable in their formative years. The older the people
will specially benefit from the privacy of having an owned room. It means that they don’t
have to worry for their personal belongings from the prying hands of the Youngers.
Quiet and peaceful place is also good for meditating and for studying. This is also good
for introverted people who desires quiet space and time alone and also for people who
wants to rest and think at peace.
