Faye Gllen Abdellah

Introduction :

Faye Glenn Abdellah was born on the 13th March 1919, in New York City. In 1942, Abdellah
obtained a nursing certificate and a magn cum laude from Fitkin Memorial Hospital School of
Nursing New Jersey (now Ann May School of Nursing).

Body paragraph :

Faye is a nurse and preliminary to nursing research, who received international recognition
and fame. Thanks to his studies and contributions, nursing attained professional status and this
enabled him to hold positions of great responsibility, such as being a nurse consultant in the
United States, principal investigator in progressive nursing patients or head of the nursing
education branch.Faye Glenn Abdellah is an excellent representative of all health professionals
because all of her research and efforts are directed to improve the quality of care because of the
health that is given to patients. And achieving great achievements in this field as well as a
woman, left an indelible mark on history that is worth knowing.

According to faye nursing is divided into

1. Nursing is a process that helps her consider nursing to be a comprehensive service that is
based on art and science and aims to help sick or healthy people cope with their health needs.

Abdellah described people as having physical, emotional and sociological needs. Individuals
(and families) are recipients of health nursing, or achieving it, are the goals of nursing services

Abdelah described health as a mutually exclusive condition of disease. And nursing as a


comprehensive service.

The community is included in "planning for optimal health at the local, state, national, and
international level. The environment is the home or community of patients who come.

Conclusion :

Faye Glenn Abdellah is a pioneer in nursing research, helping change nursing theory, nursing
care and nursing education. She is a leader in nursing research and has more from one hundred
publications relating to care, education for progress practice in nursing and nursing research.
