Introduction

History is the study of the past. It created the world we live today; it is
basically everything that happened before this exact second. Now’s the chance for
us to change the world. To give impact to our society and to our future.

Sisters of Charity of St. Charles Borromeo is a retreat house that can be found
in Ulat, Tagaytay. The retreat house was establish 20 years ago. It consists of
sisters with different nationalities. Their objective is to worship God and its Saint,
Charles Borromeo.

Body

The reason as to why I chose this place is because of its beautiful scenery on
the cliff side. The nature of Tagaytay has a different ambiance which makes it more
special. It is also a place where we can strengthen our faith and wisdom to God
through our mind and body.

The first time I walked in the retreat house, I immediately felt a warm feeling
spread through my veins. People were filled with kindness and hospitality. They
immediately greeted us as we entered the retreat house. The place was surrounded
by various types of plants that made it appear more comfortable. The trees formed
as a roof when you walk across the pathway leading to the church. There was a
statue of Mother Mary that was built for the Feast of the Immaculate Concepcion.
 It was a perfect day for us to conduct our interview. We met Sr. Maria Do Thi Kim
Thrang, CB at the church. We invited her to answer us some few questions so that we may
be enlightened about the place and its people. Sisters of Charity of St. Charles
Borromeo were a blessing for her. Strengthening her faith and wisdom, it gave her the
opportunity to express herself more to God. We also met Mrs. Vicky Magnaye, one of the
former servers of the place. She told us that the place gave meaning to her life as long as
we believe in God as our Father and Savior.

Conclusion

Knowing the story of its place is enlightening. Giving the chance to know its
meaning and its history. It motivates and inspires me to make my future life better
knowing that everything I do will become its history.
