Last winter I along with my
friends visited the Delhi
Zoo. We hired a taxi and
went there. As we went
inside we saw dears of
different kinds. They were
eating something. After that
we saw lions, monkeys and
tigers. Monkeys and apes
were hanging from the
branches of trees and
started playing with them.
After seeing all this we saw
snakes. There were many
snakes of different colours
and sizes like cobra, viper,
etc. We also saw
elephants, zebras, kan-
garoos, crocodiles, water-
birds, ducks, swans and
ostrich, bears, foxes,
jackals and many more
animals.Lastly we took cold
drink. We were very happy
after seeing so many

Zoo is a place where
different animals and birds
are kept. Zoo is a great
attraction for children. Last
Sunday I went to see the
zoo with my parents. It is
situated at Purana Qila in
New Delhi. We bought the
tickets and went inside.
Many people had already
come to see the animals
and birds. First of all, we
saw a lion. It was grand
and royal. Then we saw
some tigers. Then we went
to the enclosures of
leopards, elephants, bears
and foxes. Then we went to
see the monkeys and some
birds. The monkeys were

the tree to another. Some

After six months, when
grandfather was visiting
relatives in Lucknow he
also went to the Zoo to see
Timothy. At the zoo he
went to his cage. Timothy
was fully grown.
Grandfather stroked his
forehead and tickled his
ears. Timothy licked
grandfather’s hand and
only sprang away when a
leopard next door snarled
at him. Grandfather would
shooed away the leopard. It
happened many times.
Grandfather told a Zoo
keeper to change Timothy’s
cage as the leopard
frightened the tiger. The
grandfather then went in
search of the
superintendent to complain.
He didn’t find him so
Grandfather went to say
bye to Timothy when
another keeper who had
been there when
grandfather had got
Timothy. He said “Why
don't you transfer Timothy
in another cage?” “But sir
replied the keeper he is not
your tiger.” “I know he no
longer mine but at least
take my suggestion.” “I
remember your tiger very
well he died two months
ago” said the keeper.
“Died” exclaimed
grandfather. “Yes sir of
pneumonia and this tiger is
very dangerous he was
trapped in the hill last
month”. Grandfather left

I live in chandigarh in
sector 47B.Last summer I
along with my friends
visited the kerala Zoo. We
went there by the
aeroplane indigo.It took us
7 hours to reach there.Then
we booked a resort in
which we stayed there and
visited many tourist places.
Then we went to trivandrum
zoo by the taxi.As we went
inside the zoo we saw
animals of different kinds.
After that we saw lions,

Last weekend, my father
wanted to take us out
somewhere. So we decided
to go to the zoo. My mother
made some sandwiches
and packed some fruits.
Father took his camera
along, and we all left for the
zoo.
Outside, it was warm and

sunny. After an hour’s
drive, we reached the zoo.
The place was crowded.
There were vendors selling
balloons, caps, eatables
and lot of other things.
My father bought three

tickets and we all walked
into the zoo. Inside we
boarded a small train which
took us around the park. I
was so excited that I kept
jumping on my seat.
As the train moved slowly

around the park, we saw a
lion, a white tiger,
hippopotamus, deer,
giraffes, mongoose, bison,
wolves and hyenas.
After the train ride, we sat

in a restaurant and had our
lunch. While walking
around the zoo, I saw
boards which warned us
not to feed the animals. I
could not understand the
reason behind it. When I
asked my father about it, he
explained that our food
might harm the animals. He
also told me that the zoo
authorities take care of the
animals in best possible
manner.
After lunch, we left for our

home though I wanted to
stay back and go for the
