Our Department of International Business and Marketing is renowned for teaching the students the most
up to date literature about International Business and Marketing and over the past ten years the faculty of
this department have collectively published more than 30 research papers. Our department is ISO 9001
certified which is a testament of quality.
The Department currently has 25 faculty members full time (11 Phds and 14 non Phds) whilst 5 faculty
members are the visiting faculty.

Job Summary:
TBS is inviting applications for Assistant Professor Positions (2 in number) for the Department of
International Business and Marketing on a fulltime basis. Successful candidates will be selected after
successfully undergoing a rigorous screening process and clearing all the stages.
Job Description:
Primary Tasks
Teaching
I. Full time teaching in regular semesters, with an option to teach in the summer semester
II. Salary is market competitive and is closely linked to the experience and other
achievements. Consistent Top performers will be slated to a 10% increase in salary.
III. The faculty member will teach only 4 courses across the board (i.e. a max of 4 courses of
masters and bachelors combined).
IV. Classes will be conducted in the morning and evening, and there will makeup classes to
cover up any missed classes.
V. The successful candidate should design a thorough course outline and make the learning
as hands on as possible.
VI. The Successful candidate should stick to the course outline and should complete it (a
tolerance of 10% is allowed).
VII. The Successful candidate should incorporate Harvard Business Review Case Studies in
the course outline, and these case discussions be conducted in class(Min 3 case study
discussions for Bachelors ,and min 5 case study discussions for Masters)

Secondary Tasks

I. The Successful Candidate will supervise the final year projects /thesis of bachelors and
masters students (A faculty member can supervise 3 fyp/thesis groups at max,across the
board)
II. The Successful Candidate will be on the campus during the examination of his/her
course.
III. The Successful Candidate will agree to the administrative tasks assigned to him if any
IV. The candidate is expected to enhance quality and will always keep a copy of the sample
strongest answer and sample weakest answer of the assessments that the students can
refer to.
V. The Successful Candidate should be available for students during the mentioned office
hours.
VI. The faculty will try to address the query or grievance of the student to the best of their
ability.
VII. The faculty will spend a portion of their time in researching and publishing high quality
papers for the school.
Job Specification:

Candidate must:
I. Possess a Phd in the relevant field (in order to teach masters students), however a
master’s degree is a minimum (in order to teach bachelors students).
II. Have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience to students of the relevant field of
Bachelors (in order to teach Bachelor students) in reputed foreign universities or Local
Hec recognized universities. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience at Master level is
required (in order to teach the master students) at a reputed foreign university or a local
Hec recognized university.
III. Ability to write quality research papers, which can be admitted to renowned research
journal.
IV. Exhibit Good Citizenship Behavior.
V. Follow the guidelines as prescribed by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
VI. Be impartial during the course and the evaluation of the students.
VII. Not accept expensive gifts from students (only cards, chocolate, and mugs are
acceptable).
VIII. Ensure that no Project assigned by them should financially burden the students or the
students’ parents.
IX. Have high moral Standards

Preference will be given to:


I. Those candidates that are experts in Microsoft PowerPoint and have an intermediate
knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
II. Candidates having fluency in English
III. Having excellent communication and presentation skills.
IV. Having decent enough networking skills.

Job Summary:

Job Description

III. Evening and morning classes could be assigned based on training program.

VI. All Topics mentioned in course outline should be covered.

Secondary Tasks:
I. Professor is required to supervise the thesis of students and publish research papers of high
quality in internationally recognized journals.
II. Professor could hire a TA whose salary shall be paid by the institute.
III. Professor should be available for any assistance to their students during the office hours.

V. Professor should follow the guidelines as prescribed by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of
Pakistan.

II. Minimum 10 years of experience of teaching in a recognized university(for masters) and
minimum(7 years of teaching experience for bachelors)
III. The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 6 publications in HEC recognized
journals.

Preference will be given to:


I. Those candidates that are experts in Microsoft PowerPoint and have an intermediate knowledge
of Microsoft Excel.

Human Resource management on a fulltime basis. Successful candidates will be selected after

Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

Job Specification:
I. Applicants holding a minimum of Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or
an MBA degree will be considered.
II. These candidates may be required to teach Masters Courses as well as Bachelors courses.
III. The candidates for the position of Associate Professor HRM should hold a PhD degree in Human
Resource Management or a closely related field and must possess minimum 4 years of teaching
experience(for Bachelors) and 7 years’ experience teaching at HEC recognized universities to
masters students (For masters students)
