I.Format
The format of the article consists of the following parts -
1. HEADING/TITLE - The heading should be catchy and in not more than 3-4 words.
AVOID:
i. Helping words in Title
ii. Single word
2. BY LINE - It refers to the name of the person writing article. It is generally given in
the question. If not given you may write ABC
II. BODY
1.  It is the main part of your writing piece. It generally consists of 3-4 paragraphs.
2. After heading use catchy line /quotation/slogan
3. PARAGRAPH 1: It is always prescribed that you begin with a short introduction
of the topic.
4. PARAGRAPH 2 : It contains body of article
e.g. features/ advantages/ disadvantages depending upon the topic in
question /problems etc.
5. PARAGRAPH3: It is the last paragraph that sums up the ideas. Here you may
write Conclusion/ warning/ suggestion/express a hope/solution etc.

POINTS TO REMEMBER:

1.Plan before you pen-

 i. Jot down the points (at space used for rough work) and ensure a proper
sequence of ideas. Introduce, Analyse, Suggest and conclude.

C –Collect ideas
O – Organize ( in sequence)
D- Draft (pen down)
E –Edit ( check the errors yourself)
R- Revise

ii. You have to strictly follow the prescribed word limit in a restricted time frame
iii. Underline all the important points.
iv. Make sure you double check for grammatical accuracy and spellings.
v. Always have a few general quotes in handy. They help in presentation and
show that you're prepared.
vi. Use good vocabulary words, phrasal verbs, idioms to make it impressive

i. Personal pronoun (First person & second person-I, we you, etc.)
ii. Thank you, please, sorry
iii. Repetition of ideas
