JOB DESCRIPTIONS – MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAM

Overall Note on the Job Descriptions:


 Please note that we will assess/analyse the students’ strengths and will assign them to
various Management Trainee roles.
 These job descriptions are indicative and can provide a broad idea about the direction of
these roles. We expect that during their formative years, MTs are open to work on
various types of activities and build their knowledge, skills and competencies. This will
help them become well-rounded professionals.
 We expect the MTs to bring in innovation and thought leadership to all the roles, and
hence the need for this program.
 The assignment of Final roles will be based on their aptitude/inclination towards various
types of activities, potential and performance.

Job Descriptions for the 2-year Management Trainee Period:

1. Group CEO office –


MBA Major: Finance
 Monitoring execution of strategies at Group level
 Support monitoring of cross-functional organization-wide projects or initiatives.
 Analysing company financials of various operating companies
 Monitoring performance of Group Companies vs Targets
 Conducting research and analysis for the respective projects.
 Preparing reports and presentations for key internal and external meetings.
 Tracking and follow up with the teams regarding the progress of various initiatives.
 Collaborate with the concerned stakeholders for developing and executing projects on
timely basis.
 Prepare Industry Reports on various trends
 
2. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) –
MBA Major: Finance
 Conducting financial analysis for decision making for target company acquisitions.
 Participate in M&A activities and work with the M&A head
 Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and involved in valuation.
 Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for the required information.
 Involved in due diligence process.
 Monitoring the 180-day integration plan for new acquisitions.
 
3. Core Finance –
MBA Major: Finance
 Support in Indian Accounting Standard (Ind-AS) transition from existing Indian GAAP
across all Group Companies.
 Consolidate Financial statement of 6 subsidiaries with FM & consolidation of Monthly
MIS.
 Coordinate implementation of Sage Accpak (ERP software) at Group Companies.
 Support all finance related activities in the integration of new acquisitions.
 Support business finance and do financial analysis

 
4. HR –
MBA Major: HR. Background in psychology would be an added advantage.
 Working on Special projects in areas such as Talent Management, Organization
Development, Employee Value Proposition, Training & Development, Performance
Management System, Leadership Hiring etc.
 Research on best practices and help implement the practices which can make the
company a great place to work
 Providing support and working on HR driven strategic activities.
 
5. Shared Services – Finance vertical
MBA Major: Finance
 Closely working with Shared Services Head and assisting in the activities to build the
vertical.
 Working on building, planning and implementation of processes for seamless delivery to
the stakeholders/clients. Identify gaps and rectify the same.
 Developing shared services operating model.
 Build and monitor SLA/TAT adherence
 Monitoring the requisite activities on timely basis.
 
6. Sales/Business/Ops –
MBA Major: Sales & Marketing
 Market Research & Lead Generation - Analyse the market size , competition scenario,
competency required to build various verticals/market segments. Identify key decision
makers and their hiring pattern – skills, geography, identifying different staffing models
offered by competition and mapping key decision makers through multiple social media
platforms. Helping build the market offerings.
 Field Sales & Cross Selling of Opportunities- Set-up meetings and visit Clients, tracking of
delivery submissions for new clients. Identify new opportunities across multiple
operating companies, Work with respective business heads to identify these clients and
possibilities of extended offering. Identify new opportunities across multiple operating
companies.
 New Acquisitions (for role in Bangalore)- Participate in data crunching of Business and
Ops data, understanding their existing Ops processes and data collation, working with
Leadership team of acquired company on assimilating Ops data for weekly and monthly
reporting , track the progress of new clients acquisitions and building of new businesses.
