PRELIMINARY

A. BACKGROUND

Humans are always following what is happening

around them, along with the development of knowledge
about body care, human needs also increase, beautyself
become one of the main priorities in daily appearance in
addition to other needs such as clothing, house, food,
education and health . Related to this, Allah SWT said,

ِ ‫ا َء فِي ْال َم ِح‬JJ‫و أَ ًذى فَا ْعت َِزلُوا النِّ َس‬JJُ

‫يض ۖ َواَل‬ َ ‫لْ ه‬JJُ‫يض ۖ ق‬ ِ ‫ك َع ِن ْال َم ِح‬ َ َ‫أَلُون‬JJ‫َويَ ْس‬
َ َ‫ْث أ‬
َ ‫مَر ُك ُم هَّللا ُ ۚ ِإ َّن هَّللا‬ ْ ْ َ‫وه َُّن َحتَّ ٰى ي‬JJُ‫تَ ْق َرب‬
ُ ‫رْ نَ ۖ فَإ ِ َذا تَطَهَّرْ نَ فَأتُوه َُّن ِم ْن َحي‬JJُ‫طه‬
َ ْ َّ
َ‫يُ ِحبُّ التوَّابِينَ َوي ُِحبُّ ال ُمتَطه ِِّرين‬

"Fortunately Allah loves those who repent and loves

those who purify themselves." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 222)
Rasulullah (may peace be upon him) said,
َ ‫إِ َّن هَّللا َ َج ِمي ٌل يُ ِحبُّ ْال َج َم‬
‫ال‬

"Indeed, Allah is beautiful and loves beauty." (HR.

Muslim)
Therefore we know that Allah loves beauty and
cleanliness, we must also take care of everything that has
been given by Allah. Not only woman, but men also
prioritize appearance on a daily that will make
confidence like, wearing clothes from top to bottom in
style and covering the genitalia, something to healthy
and beautify body parts, especially face that become a
standard for some people to rate someone's personality.
All of that is very make effect on humans.
One to fulfill the necessary to beautify and be
confident is cosmetics. Therefore we as a Muslim must
choose and use our necessary needs with good things,
but there are some problems that exist at this time such
as; Do not understand lack of knowledge about the
condition of the skin, or our skin type self, buying
cosmetics products without knowing the contents and the
use that are in it, using cosmetics to overrate. Many
people seems to pay less attention do not care about it.
Cosmetics users are not only for adults, but also
teenagers even, children already have a lifestyle like this.
That seems to be everyone's duty. Therefore, it can be
certain that the use of cosmetics is so much widespread.
Along with the headway of human knowledge and
intelligence about cosmetics, more and more Cosmetics
are made and its various kinds of cosmetics in products,
such as face powder for face, eyebrow pencils for
eyebrows, mascara for eyelashes, kinds products for lips
like lipstick, liptint, lipcream and other products that
have been scattered everywhere. Among those
cosmetics, lipstick is the most easiest and frequent to
carry and use. Of course lipstick, the material it is small ,
easy to carry and has an and can gives of difference for
face effect on face makeup. As a result but appear some
there are problems that are slightly annoying, especially
for adults and teenager on their lips. Some matters of
their lips such as unhealthy lips. Unhealthy lip skin than
children, for example dry lips, wrinkles, black or red
spots, swollen, there are bumb, redness around the lips
and skin lips look. The causes between age factor, wrong
use of cosmetics, wrong treatment and sun exposure. Not
only because of age, but the chemical content in
cosmetics products can be the causes of skin problems,
as to mention including lanolin, alcohol, artificial
coloring, artificial fragrance, formaldehyde, parabens,
benzoic acid and other additives that can cause allergic
reactions and comedogenic.
Apart from human needs and problems of using
cosmeticts especially lipstic, still many creations and
innovations done to fulfill those needs. Maters of human
need has been provided by the mother nature. In this
case, Allah SWT, the Most Gracious, has provided
natural resources around us. We just need to utilized the
natural resources discreetly. Ascociated with the
cosmetics problem above or in this matter is lipstick,
using natural material from the nature may reduce the
possibility of negative effect of using lip products.
Therefore the writer will would like to try to
make an innovation that is in processing natural
resources which easily found as basic material for
lipstick. In the future women can made it in their own
home. This lips product will be more safe, healthy, halal
since the use of syar’i materials of course can make
themselves at home by adults and teenagers. The author
hope that what have been done can will make some
natural resources as ingredients in making lipstick. One
of the making of lipstick made from several natural
sources is fulfill human desires in the process of
perfecting one of its secondary needs, which is to
beautify themselves.
B. PROBLEM FORMULATION
Lipstick is one of the cosmetics that is considered the
most important among adults and teenagers today,
because it is not only small but also easy to carry
around, its useful and a lot of benefits, not only to
beautify, but also healthy.
Therefore, the author will make Natural Lipstics as
follows:
1. What is the law of using Cosmetics?
2. What are the contents and benefits contained
in Natural Lipstics?
3. How to make Natural Lipstics?
4. How is the assessment of making of Natural
Lipstics?
C. PURPOSE OF WRITING
The purpose of writing tis paper, namely:
1. To Know the law of using Cosmetics
 2. Knowing the contents and benefits contained
in Natural Lipstics
3. Knowing how to make Natural Lipstics
4. Knowing assessment Natural Lipstics
D. METHOD OF WRITING
In this opportunity, the writing method that will
be used by the author is qualitative research with
experiment method. Namely conducting
experiments on natural ingredients to be
processed into lipstics by processing it and prove
by self from the results.

E. OPERATIONAL DEFINITIONS

Making is create something in several ways or

steps in accordance with the object to be made.
So that something desired is reached

Natural is concerned with nature

Lipstics is cosmetics are applied to the lips. Used

to determine the shape, provide color to lips and
 protection of the surroundings. Rod-shaped,
solid, slippery and colorful.
