Youghal's Labour Town Councilor, Tommy O' Connell has vowed
to fight forces within his own party that he says are out to 'destroy
Youghal' before any forthcoming election. The comment came
after Youghal Council Town Clerk, Mr. Liam Ryan was advised by
the headquarters of the Labour Party that Tommy O' Connell
should not sit at future council meetings. Mr. Ryan informed mem-

they 'were not happy with the selection process of Tommy O'

'nullified'. The Town Clerk added that he was asked to reply to the
Labour Party by 5pm Monday. Mr. Ryan then contacted Mr. O'

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN
Decorating for a Christmas Party!
The sound of a crackling fire. The joy of newly fallen snow. The
anticipation of Santa Claus. The smell of a cedar tree. The taste of
a freshly baked Christmas cookie. At its very essence, Christmas
is a holiday that excites our senses. How things sound, look, feel,
smell, and taste evoke memories of holidays past, flooding us with
emotions. The best way to re-create these memories -- and to cre-
ate new memories for our families and friends -- is to surround
ourselves with things that remind us of the season. Decorating is
one of the easiest ways to accomplish this. Whether you are plan-
ning a small get together or a large party, decking your home in
seasonal splendor will satiate the senses and fill all your guests
with holiday spirit.
The Colors of Christmas: Christmas is all about color. Glowing
strings of lights, festive stockings, and beautifully wrapped gifts
take center stage. The colors you choose to emphasize in your
Christmas decorations can impact the feelings they evoke.
Consider your goals -- icy and intense, cozy and traditional, mod-
ern and fresh, elegant and luxurious -- before deciding on a color
scheme.
Cool blue looks icy and cold, like the light of winter after a heavy
snow has settled. The spectrum ranges from pale blue so light it
shimmers to shocking cobalt. Whether you choose to use various
shades all together or stick with one main color, blue will electri-
fy and intensify your decorating scheme. White or silver is often
added to enhance the decor; mixing in greenery and other naturals
can also accentuate the various hues of blue.
Seeing red -- and green: Conjure up memories of Christmas
past, and you likely envision a holiday decked out in red and
green. These colors are synonymous with Christmas; they're the
traditional colors most often associated with the season.
Technically, red and green work well together because they are
opposite each other on the color wheel.
Throw a great Christmas Party. Happy Holidays!

CHRISTMAS - TIPS TO REDUCE THE STRESS
ucey
Christmas is typically one of the most stressful events of the year.
The expense of buying gifts, the pressure of last minute shopping
and the heightened expectations of family togetherness can all
combine to undermine our best intentions. Some practical sugges-
tions can help you reduce your 'Christmas stress'.
Budgeting for Christmas urnishings
For many of us, the Christmas aftermath includes massive credit
card bills that can take months to clear. Christmas doesn't have to
be a financial headache if you plan ahead. Stress reduction strate-

week (or fortnight or month) to covering your expected Christmas

Youghal 0 V 3 Young Munster; Women's AIL
Sunday, 17 October 2010,
The score-line might suggest a boring game but both sides played
their part in an absorbing game between two very evenly matched
sides. The Young Munster pack made it difficult for the sea-siders
from the off, winning a majority of possession and as a result,
were able to dictate the play. Their physicality was matched by the
home team particularly in the bruising confines of the front row
while some superb tackling by, among others, Deirdre Fitzgerald
and Karen O'Mahoney left the Limerick girls in no doubt as to the
scale of the job that confronted them. The bulk of the play went

game was going to won and lost, with the lighter Youghal eight
gaining several turn- over's. Half time arrived with the scores level
at 0-0 aside. The second half was more of the same apart from the
fact that it was the Limerick team that were awarded the penalty.
This was converted and proved to be the only difference between
two teams that kept up the intensity for the full 80 minutes.
Numerous attempts to land the killer blow were attempted by both
sides but defences were in control all through. The score at full-
time was Youghal-0 Young Munster-3. With such evenly matched
sides either would have been worthy of the win but all credit to
