Indian Institute of Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur) invites online applications from Indian and Foreign
Nationals with exceptional academic record and excellent research record for the position of Young Faculty
Associates to conduct teaching and research in the following Departments.
Department
Bioscience and Bioengineering
Chemical Engineering
Chemistry
Civil Engineering
Computer Science & Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Humanities and Social Sciences
Metallurgical & Materials
Engineering
Mathematics
Mechanical Engineering
Physics

Persons with exceptional academic and research record in other areas of Engineering and Sciences also are
invited to apply.

Terms of Appointment of Young Faculty Associates

1. The positions of Faculty Associate may be offered to graduating Ph.D Student from leading Academic
Institutes/Universities including CFTIs in India and leading International Institutes/University for short
durations ranging from one semester to maximum up to 2 years.

2. The graduating Ph.D Student who have submitted his/her Thesis; satisfying the minimum criteria for
shortlisting as Assistant Professor Position in the Institute and having at least 2 Paper Publication in
reputed Journal would be eligible for the appointment.

3. The Faculty Associate will be paid fixed consolidated salary of Rs.75,000.

4. The Faculty Associate shall not be eligible for vacation leave. They can avail 8 days of casual leave and
30 days of annual leave (at 2½ days per month).

5. The Faculty Associate shall NOT be eligible for telephone reimbursement, medical reimbursement,
CPDA, TRA and other financial benefits available to regular faculty members.

6. Accommodations, subject to availability, can be provided to Faculty Associate on payment of rent,

license fees, electricity and water charges.

Information regarding the application process

Interested candidates may apply with all the details requested in ONLINE application placed on the online
portal of IIT Jodhpur (https://oa.iitj.ac.in/OA_REC_Faculty/). Further,

(1) Applications are welcomed throughout the year. The applicants are required to apply only through
ONLINE process and upload relevant documents accordingly.

(2) The positions are purely on contract/temporary basis.

(3) Applications will be screened on regular basis for the interview or as per the requirement.

(4) Although recruitment will be prioritized on the basis of need in certain areas within a particular
discipline, applications may also be considered from exceptional candidates with background in other
areas of the specified discipline.

(5) In case of exceptional candidates, the Institute reserves the right to relax age, qualifications and/or
experience. Applicants are requested to upload the certificates in required format along with the
application form.

(6) The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all of the advertised posts.

(7) Application with insufficient information or without relevant supporting documents will not be
considered for further processing.

(8) There is no requirement of sending the hard copy of the application.

(9) The Institute may verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a person at the time of
appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted
by the candidates are fake or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents or background and has
suppressed the said information, then his or her services shall be terminated.
