In this moment, human’s growth is influenced by sophisticated technologies, hence

everything is so much easier to do. People could struggle all their works anywhere and anytime
by only using network system. Even when people socialize each other, they prefer to use social
media such as Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp, hence they do not need to meet them directly.
For those reasons, some people think that social networks are big issues and it could give a huge
impact not only for individuals, but also for society. I personally partly agree for this statement
since social networks provide benefits and drawbacks on it.
Social media, which part of social network sites, is one of the biggest media that used in
this era. Some research stated that social media could help people to communicate with other,
even though when they are far apart. Social medias also provide convenience in providing
information such as pictures, voice notes, and emoticons, thus people would like it very well.
This situation could be an opportunity that can be used for business. Take Instagram as an
example, people usually use it for sharing their activities all day long, but nowadays Instagram is
also for showing the products and advertising their goods. Surely it would give some benefits for
several people who need items that are hard to find in conventional store. Another example,
celebrities usually have social media account for branding his/herself, thus it increases their
popularity and receives a lot of jobs on creative sectors.
But behind all that benefits, there were drawbacks that could be harm for everyone,
especially teenagers. Since adolescence is a vulnerable period of self-identity, unlucky teenagers
would loss their purposes of life and they might receive acts of bully from their surroundings.
Nowadays bullies are going to be hot issues around the world and those are a cruel act in human
beings. One kind of bullies that often happen is cyber bullying and of course it happens on social
media. Few days ago in The United States, there was an innocent girl who decided to end her life
after she got cyber bullying from her school’s friends. They sent her private picture to several of
kids and it made her to become stressful and trauma.
Surely, social media could give a huge impact on life and it could be dangerous for some
of people who not ready to use it wisely. But it can not be denied that social media provide an
ease way to communicate with people. I suggest that parents should be more pay attention to
their children, thus they could responsible to use social media.
