Planning Engineer

· Designed compact seals for AGC (Automatic Gauge Control) cylinder for the first
time, this has been very successful design. This design has been applied in AGC
Cylinder of Cold Rolling Mill M-3 & M-4 in JSW-Steel Ltd. Vashind, Maharashtra.
These cylinders are performing well since September 2004.
· Designed another type of compact seal for AGC (Automatic Guage Control) cylinder.
This design was sent to Hunger Germany and was approved by them. These cylinders
were modified and repaired. These are in mill since January 2006 performing without
fail. This design is performing in Finishing Mill Jindal Ltd.-Hissar.
· I have designed totally new hydraulic cylinders for Mae-west block i,e. Top bending
cylinders, bottom bending cylinders & roll balancing cylinders. In this case we have
tough competition with Bombardie-Italy, hydraulics India-Bangalore, but due to design
edge we got the order for one stand. These cylinders are performing well since April
2005, resulting which we are getting regular orders for 50 nos. annually. This design is
applied in JSW-Steel Ltd. in HSM Bellary-Karnataka.
· Re-designed the backup bending cylinders for compact seals. These cylinders are
performing well in Cold Rolling Mill M-4 in JSW Steel Ltd.-Vashind, Maharashtra.
· Overhauling & modification of Hydraulic Jacking Cylinders for ONGC drilling RIG
SAGAR SAMARAT. In this case we had competitors like Fluid Power Pvt. Ltd.
Byculla-Mumbai, Wipro Hydraulics-Bangalore, Welgin Hyd.-Hyderabad, Sadhave
Offshore-Mumbai, etc. but due to technical edge we got this prestigious order valued
order of almost 3 crore. One set of two cylinders has been already cleared by ABS for
commissioning on the Rig Sagar Samarat.
· I have developed and designed DUMP cylinders for Dozer Mobile D75-S, D55, L&T
CK-90-III etc. these cylinders are performing well in Steel Authority of India Ltd.-
Rourkela, Orissa.
· Re-designed and modified 1000 ton press cylinder, this press HMT make failed badly,
the cylinder cracked radially in two halves. L&T & HMT themselves regretted this
cylinder for repairing; I re-designed the cylinder and made repair procedure. This
cylinder is performing well in Automotive Assemblies and Stampings Ltd.-Chakan-
Pune, since April 2006.
· I have cooling jacket system for Tundish cylinder. This cylinder operates at adverse
condition like high temperature with an operating pressure of 200 bars. Now with
cooling system, this cylinder is performing very well since February 2006. We have got
another order for 3 nos more to modify which are in process.
· The repairing process of other items like Compressors, Pumps, Marine Engines, Diesel
Engines make Skoda, B&W man etc. has been redefined. Now I have proposed to
manufacture the piston crowns, cylinder liners for marine engines. The proposal is in
process and is likely to be launched by May 2007.
· The reconditioning of 3 nos of AGC cylinders from Lloyds Wardha, 1 no from
Thyssenkrup-Nashik Maharashtra and many more is in process.
