Re: Anderson Greenwood 81P Back Pressure Capability

Dear James,

The Anderson Greenwood Model 81P has the capability to achieve partial lift and
capacity under high back pressure conditions. Capacity testing on the 81P under
varying back pressure conditions was done at our ASME certified flow test facility in El
Campo, Texas in 1987. The results of the testing revealed that in -4 (0.49 in²) and -8
(0.196 in²) orifice sizes the 81P achieved a minimum 30% lift at backpressures up to
97% of set pressure. This makes the 81P ideally suited for thermal relief applications in
high backpressure applications.
