CHAPTER 7 – LAND TRANSPORTATION

Objectives:
 To be familiarized with the different types of land transportation
 Knowledgeable of its advantages to the people most especially to the tourists.
 To be able to know the different main government agencies linked to land transportation.

Learning Tasks:
For the learning tasks, the students will have a research-based activity.

 A1 - Research-Based Activity (20 points each)

o Answer the following questions as briefly as possible:
1. In Chapter 7, it tackles about different types of tourist transports. Search for the
company names that offer these types of transportations and attach a sample
picture for each.
2. Research about the history of the tourist transports in the Philippines.
o Send your answers to my e-mail address stated above.
CHAPTER 8 – RAIL TRANSPORTATION

Objectives:
 To be able to know the different Must-Try Rail Journeys around the world.
 Knowledgeable of it’s the different types of rail transportation.
 To be able to familiarize with the different Metro Manila Urban Rail System (which is the only
urban rail system visible in the Philippines).

Learning Tasks:
For the learning tasks, the students will have a research-based activity and an opinion-based activity.

 A2 – Research & Opinion-Based Activity (20 points each)

o Answer the following questions as briefly as possible:
1. Research about the history of rail transportation on how it all began and how it
was developed through the years.
2. Pick 5 Must-Try Rail Journeys (Chapter 8). Attach pictures/photos showcasing
the exterior and interior design of the train. Describe and differentiate each.

CHAPTER 9 – AIR TRANSPORT AND SPACE TOURISM

Objectives:
 To be able to know advantages of Air Transport
 Familiarization of the different types of flights
 To know the different Classifications of Philippine Airports
 To be knowledgeable of the Air Passenger Bill of Rights

Learning Tasks:
For the learning tasks, the students will have a research-based activity and an opinion-based activity.

 A3 - Research-Based Activity (20 points each)

o Answer the following questions as briefly as possible:
1. Research the history of Airline Industry in the Philippines.
2. Research about the Top 20 Airlines according to SkyTrax. Attach company logos
for each.
o Write it down in MS Word and submit the file to my e-mail address stated above.

CHAPTER 10 – WATER TRASNPORTATION & THE CRUISE INDUSTRY

Objectives:
 To be able to know the different types of Cruise Ships
 Knowledgeable of the advantages of water transportation and cruise industry.
 To be able to familiarize with the different cruise terminologies and other types of water
transport.

Learning Tasks:
For the learning tasks, the students will have an essay activity and research based activity.

 A4 - Essay Activity (20 points)

o Answer the following questions in detail with a requirement of 200 words each
question.
1. Explain in detail how important the water transportation for the tourists is.
o Answer must be written in MS Word and submit to the e-mail address stated above.
 A5 – Research-Based Activity (20 points each each)
o Research the following:
1. Safety of Life on Board
2. Top 10 biggest Cruise Ships in the World
