No, there is a need for the principal to be actively involved in the curriculum
development process because the principal serves as the educational leader of the school. It is
imperative that they have a working knowledge of effective instructional strategies and
understand the needs of their students and teachers. As an effective curriculum leader, he
or she must see to it that quality education will be achieved
10. Why is implementation a crucial activity in the cycle of planning and teaching a
curriculum?
Curriculum implementation is very important because the planned or officially designed
course of study by curriculum specialists and subject experts is translated by the teacher into
syllabuses, schemes of work and lessons to be delivered in a classroom or school setting.
