Sketching people holds so many possibilites for playing

around and exploring how variations to the posture, face
or body changes the expression and the meaning of your
drawing. The possibilities are endless and there is a lot to
discover when you start to experiment.

I hope you’ll enjoy sketching and practicing with these little

people as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Happy sketching and practicing!

Direction of Gaze

Our attention goes where we direct our gaze.

The placement of the eyes and nose changes the expression of
the pose significantly.

EyeBrows

Eyebrows express emotions – especially strong emotions like

anger, surprise and sadness.

EyeS

When the eyes are neutrally open, simple dots are enough.
When they are shut or opened wide, they change shape.
