The Yellow Palace was a royal palace during the Kutaringin Sultanate. The location is in the middle of
Pangkalan Bun City and adjacent to Tugu Square. The palace consists of four buildings: Bangsal (the royal
reception area), Rumbang (where the king meditates), Dalem Kuning (the seat of government, and the
king's residence), and Pedahiran (royal dining room). In 1986, the palace that was famous for its yellow
royal doors was set on fire and did not leave a single item. Yellow Palace has been rebuilt according to
the original building. The rebuilding process was completed in 2000. The contents of the building are on
average replicas. Some items from the Yellow Palace collection were donations from the Directorate
General of Antiquities at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The Yellow Palace was opened from 10.00
WIB until 17.00 WIB.
