Text Descriptive

Descriptive text is a text that describes or describes people, animals or an object in its form,
characteristics, numbers and so on. The purpose of descriptive text is to explain, describe or
express someone or an object.

Teks Deskripsi ini adalah suatu teks yang menjelaskan, menggambarkan atau mendeskripsikan orang
orang, binatang atau suatu benda baik bentuknya, sifat-sifatnya, jumlahnya dan lain-lain. Tujuan dari
teks deskripsi adalah untuk menjelaskan, menggambarkan atau mengungkapkan seseorang atau suatu
benda.

Descriptive Text Characteristics

 Verb used is the attribute verb, such as be (am, is, are)

 Tense used is simple present tense
 Only focus on one such object.

Ciri-ciri Teks Deskripsi

 Verb yang digunakan yaitu attribute verb, seperti be (am, is, are)
 Tense yang digunakan yaitu simple present tense
 Hanya fokus pada satu objek tersebut.

Descriptive Text Structure (Generic Structure)

 Identification is an introduction, in the form of a general description of a topic.

 Description (description) is to contain special characteristics possessed by objects,
places, or people described. For example traits, physical features, and other things
that are written specifically.

Struktur Teks Deskripsi

 Identifikasi adalah pendahuluan, berupa gambaran umum tentang suatu topik.

 Deskripsi adalah berisi ciri-ciri khusus yang dimiliki benda, tempat, atau orang yang
dideskripsikan. Misalnya sifat-sifat, tsmpilan fisik, dan hal lain yang dituliskan
dengan spesifik.

Descriptive Language Elements

 Noun: Use specific nouns, such as my cat, my boyfriend, National Monument, In

addition, often also use adjectives (adjectives) to clarify the use of nouns or nouns,
such as a big house, a smart student, an independence woman.
 Simple present tense: use the basic verb or first form (verb 1) and use a verb that can
indicate ownership or the state of an object. Descriptive text uses simple present tense
because descriptive text tells a fact of the object described. For example, My office
has 22 floors, Azka is pretty, and others.
 Action verbs: Use verbs to indicate an activity or an activity that can be seen. For
example, sleep, walk, sing, dance, etc.
  Figurative language: Use figurative language or describe something, usually using a
metaphor to provide an illustration to the reader. For example:
My love for you is as big as the ocean. - My love for you is as big as the ocean.
Her skin is as white as the snow - Her skin is snow white.

  Unsur Kebahasaan Teks Deskripsi

 Noun : Menggunakan kata benda yang spesifik, seperti misalnya my cat, my

boyfriend, National Monument, Selain itu, sering juga menggunakan adjective (kata
sifat) untuk memperjelas penggunaan noun atau kata benda, seperti a big house, a
smart student, an independence woman.
 Simple present tense : menggunakan kata kerja dasar atau bentuk pertama (verb 1)
serta menggunakan kata kerja yang dapat menunjukkan kepemilikan atau keadaan
sebuah objek. Descriptive text menggunakan simple present tense karena descriptive
text menceritakan sebuah fakta dari objek yang dideskripsikan. Misalnya My office
has 22 floors, Azka is pretty, dan lain-lain.
 Action verbs : Menggunakan kata kerja yang menunjukkan sebuah kegiatan atau
sebuah aktifitas yang bisa dilihat. Misalnya, sleep, walk, sing, dance, dll.
 Figurative language : Menggunakan bahasa yang figurative atau menggambarkan
sesuatu, Biasanya menggunakan sebuah metafora untuk memberikan ilustrasi kepada
pembaca. Misalnya:
My love for you is as big as the ocean. – Cintaku padamu seluas lautan.
Her skin is as white as the snow – Kulitnya seputih salju.
 Eiffel Tower

Eiffel tower was built to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the French Revolution. The
construction process took 2 years to finished, started from 1887 until 1889. The building is
located in Paris, France.
Eiffel Tower is the highest building in Paris. It is 324 meters tall and its square base size is
125 meters. Almost all parts of the construction is made of iron with weight approximately
7.300 tons. There are three levels of the tower that can be accessed by tourist. On the first and
second levels the visitors will find the restaurants, on the first level is Le 58 Tour
Eiffel resaturant, on the second level is Le Jules Verne restaurant. The top level is where we
can find the observation deck. There are 8 elevators that we can use in the tower. Eiffel tower
is also used as an aerial to transmit radio and digital television signals, therefore we will find
additional part on the top of the tower in the form of transmitters.

Menara Eiffel
Menara Eiffel dibangun untuk merayakan peringatan 100 tahun Revolusi Perancis. Proses
pembangunannya membutuhkan waktu 2 tahun hingga selesai, dimulai dari tahun 1887
hingga 1889. Bangunan ini terletak di Paris, Perancis.
Menara Eiffel adalah bangunan tertinggi di Paris. Bangunan itu tingginya 324 meter dan
ukuran pondasinya yang berbentuk persegi adalah 125 meter. Hampir keseluruhan bagian
dari bangunan itu terbuat dari besi dengan berat kira kira 7.300 ton. Ada tiga tingkatan dari
menara itu yang bisa dikunjungi wisatawan. Pada tingkat pertama dan kedua pengunjung
akan menemukan restoran, di tingkat pertama adalah restoran Le 58 Tour Eiffel, pada tingkat
kedua adalah restoran Le Jules Verne. Tingkatan paling atas adalah dimana kita bisa
menemukan the observation deck. Terdapat 8 lift yang bisa kita gunakan di dalam tower itu.
Menara Eiffel juga digunakan sebagai antena untuk memancarkan sinyal radio dan televisi
digital, oleh karena itu kita akan menemukan bagian tambahan di atas menara itu dalam
bentuk pemancar.
