COVING TROWEL
COVING TROWEL
Used to form a cove where a wall and floor meet. The 201 coving has a traditional
use in ‘rubbing up’ the setting concrete prior to steel trowelling. If the concrete
is left with the finish created by the coving trowel ie a more textured finish than a
steel trowelled finish, this is known as a coving finish or ‘stipple’ finish.

STEEL FLOATS
Used to ‘rub up’ a concrete floor prior to steel trowelling or to work in coloured dry shake. They produce a textured finish smoother than a wood float,
which suits outdoor paving applications. The trowels feature a long wearing robust steel blade that is turned up all round.

TELESCOPIC HANDLES
TELESCOPIC HANDLE & CLIP TOGETHER HANDLE
TOOL: 1076 TELESCOPIC HANDLE (1076) (588)
Extends from 2.75 m to 5 m.
Widely used for many floating and finishing jobs enabling the work to be
achieved from a standing position, external from the concrete slab. TOOL: 588
The inside tube is grooved. A pin penetrates this groove. This allows the CLIP TOGETHER HANDLE
twisting action the operator applies to the handle to be transferred to the
floor. The handle length is locked by lightly twisting the collet nut. 2 meters long.
The handle also features a removable clip on steel tube adaptor The aluminium tube is fluted to enhance
(part No. 1076E). This allows the operator to unclip the grip. The inserted end tube is zinc plated steel,

be purchased for this purpose.
Three or four of these handles may be aligned together to
give a reach of 6 to 8 metres.
(1076E)
To obtain a 7 m reach, a 588 clip handle can be clipped
onto the 1076 telescopic handle.
WARNING – When using telescopic handles and long length of clip together handle, near to electric wires or other
high voltage installations, care should be taken to avoid contacting live wires as such contact may be lethal.
