year, there is also a new dedicated

Bath Christmas Market is proud
to support local charities. Every
day during the Market, a different
local charity takes a chalet for free,
and this year, for the first time,
there will be two charity chalets,
meaning that 36 local charities
will be able to raise funds and
build awareness of their causes.
In 2018, over £12,000 was raised
for charities who participated in
the event, so make sure you pay a
visit to the charity chalets located
on Milsom Street and York Street
and do what you can to show your
support and help those in need.
We care about the local community
and work hard to support as many
groups as possible, from schools and
colleges to choirs and dance troupes.
Look out for the miniature Christmas
garden designed and planted by
pupils from Fosse Way School in
Radstock, a specialist school for
special educational needs.

 What’s on in Winter and Spring 2020
There’s always something going on in Bath. As well as its beautiful architecture,
wonderful shops, great restaurants, theatres and museums, Bath has a varied cultural
offering, with fantastic events throughout the year.
Events and Exhibitions
At Victoria Art Gallery from 15th February
to 27th May, Toulouse-Lautrec and
the Masters of Montmartre will bring
the French artist’s Paris to life. The
exhibition will revisit street art of the era,
showcasing over 80 works by the artist
and his contemporaries.
Bath Bachfest will take place from 20th
to 22nd February – three days filled with
music-making of the highest quality.
Bath Half Marathon is possibly the
largest participant and spectator event
of the year. Taking place on Sunday 15th
March, it starts and finishes in style on
the glorious Great Pulteney Street.
Bath Festivals will celebrate the 250th
anniversary of Beethoven’s birth by
bringing the enchanting Beethoven String
Quartets to Bath, with the first three
concerts performed from 27th to 29th
March, and the remaining as part of The
Bath Festival, which runs from 15th to
25th May.

Bath Comedy Festival is back from 31st
March to 19th April bringing Bath to life
with an inclusive and dedicated mix of
comedy in its many guises, including
stand-up, street theatre, film, workshops
and more.
The Bath Festival will open with the
ever popular and free Party in the
City on Friday 15th May, and will run
through the following ten days with a
kaleidoscope of events. From classical
concerts to debates on the big issues, it
will culminate in a two-day celebration
at Bath Recreation Ground over the Bank
Holiday Weekend, on 23rd and 24th May.
