RAW MATERIALS

Raw material is the primary substance which is used as an input to a


production process for subsequent modification and finally modified into a
finished good.
In K and K garments the list of raw materials used are fabric, sewing
threads, trim and accessories, label size and side labels.

 Fabric - is the basic raw material of the clothing industry. The


quality of fabric not only influences the quality of the garment but
also affects the smoothness of the production process. The
production of garments from high-quality fabrics not only gives
comfort to the wearer but also helps in the smooth working of
manufacturing processes and leads to defect-free garments.

 Sewing Threads - Sewing thread is the yarn used to combine two


or more fabric pieces together in garments, accessories, and other
textile products. Thread may be comprised of the same
construction and fibre content as the garment, but is often
different.

 Trim and accessories – are those materials that are used in a


garment other than main fabric. Trim is used to enhance garments,
these components are attach in the garments by sewing and
accessories enhances the aesthetics appeal of function of a
garments.

 Size Label and side label – these are tag that used in garment
industry. Size label defines a specific set of measurements of the
human body. Sizes labels may be printed only a later to denote a
specific size. Such as S for Small, M for Medium, L for Large and
XL for Extra Large size garments. Side Label or what we called
Main labels indicate a Brand name or Brand Logo of the company
that sources and sells clothes. Brand labels play a big role to
customers as because customers only know the brand and they buy
the brand. A brand level is associated with the product quality,
durability and feel good factor. 
UNUSED EQUIPMENT
Most of the unused equipment in K and K Garments are cone threads, spool
threads, excess fabric from the shirt and defective machine. Cone and Spool threads is
directly delivered to their buyer and the excess fabric is distributed to the employees that
wants to make a rag. Defective machine is being stocked in their unused space and
waiting for their time to be repair.
