Your responsibilities:
Travelcircus is seeking a Senior React JS Developer (m/f/x) to join our development team.
We're looking for someone who's passionate about building robust & scalable frontend
applications, which incorporate design, functionality as well as usability across devices and
browsers. You'll be an integral part of the engineering team and will work closely with others
throughout our company to deliver the best possible product to our customers. Ideal
candidates will have profound experience with React and using RESTful APIs in a Service
Oriented Architecture. This position is full time and based in our great office in Berlin.
Build and extend our Platform Services and Booking Systems on the
frontend side
Collaborate closely with our design department and help to develop new
product features from the first idea to the final product

Our team is responsible for providing restaurants with delivery service. Areas like HR,
disposition and delivery depend on us to develop and maintain their web and mobile
applications. We have no dependencies, we are free to make our own technical decisions
and get to work with the latest, cutting edge technologies.
The position
Collaborating with your team and stakeholders to improve our systems and their
functionality (delivery, jobs scheduling, shiftplanning, etc.).
Solving complex engineering problems to enhance our service and the overall
customer experience.
Refine and grow your expertise in topics such as Javascript, Event Driven
Architecture, DDD and NodeJs.
Promote and contribute to good software engineering practices across the team
and all of IT.
Your profile
You are a real team player who is comfortable with practices such as pair
programming, code reviewing and knowledge sharing.
You have a good knowledge of the Node.js environment, especially with the
Express framework
You know how to efficiently test your code, ideally you use a TDD approach
You have a good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
You know how to efficiently architecture an application. Any knowledge of Domain
Driven Design (DDD) is highly appreciated
You understand how to effectively build and architect for the cloud (experience
with AWS is very appreciated)
Ideally (not required) you already have some experience in Event Driven
Architecture, including experience with Kafka or similar message brokers (RabbitMQ,
AWS MQ, AWS Kinesis etc.)
You are passionate about clean code.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Who we are
Our company is looking for an MIR Engineer to join the development team in
order to bring one of the most important features of the app - the piano note
detection - to the next level.
Your role
As a MIR Engineer you will become part of a young team tackling the challenge
of constantly improving our MIR algorithms such as a realtime polyphonic pitch
and onset detection for piano. You will contribute to research, implementation,
and evaluation of different models and algorithms and build up a cloud
infrastructure that will enable us to iterate quickly. You will also work with cross-
platform tools in order to deploy machine learning models to iOS, Android and
the web.
We give you complete ownership of your tasks. This means there are no product
managers telling you what to do. Instead, you contribute your own ideas and we
decide together as a team what to focus on.
