Interac Mobile Rental Plan How to Return the Phone

Returning your phone is a simple process that you can do at home by yourself. It is important that
you follow the instructions in this guide and return the phone in the correct manner. If the phone
is not correctly returned, SoftBank may judge the phone to be “damaged” and then you could be
charged for a damaged phone. Make sure that you read and understand the steps below and return
the phone in the correct manner.

Steps:
1. Request contract termination on The Hub at https://goo.gl/forms/tLzO5q5bgFWDJwUs1
2. We will check your termination date and request SoftBank to send you a “Return Kit.”
3. A “Return Kit” will be sent to your address.
4. Prepare your phone.
5. Pack your phone.
6. Return the phone by courier (takkyubin.)

STEP ONE – Request contract termination


Login to interacmail.com and go the The Hub and access the Phones page. From there, use the
“Cancel” link next to any phone to go to the Termination Form. Or click: WWWURL

It should look like:

When this form is complete, a copy of it will be sent to your interacmail.com address. You do not
need to make multiple entries if you have a copy of your Termination Form.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to return the phone the way SoftBank wants it. Failure to
return the phone correctly may incur a penalty up to the replacement cost of the phone.

STEP TWO
Basically, this is very simple. We may contact you for more information if we need it, etc. Also, if
you have any questions at this time, please send an email to the Helpdesk
(mobile-helpdesk@interacmail.com.)

STEP THREE
A “Return Kit” (返却キット) will be sent to the address we have on file by takkyubin. It should
look like this:

(If it looks somewhat different, that is not a problem as long as it is from SoftBank.)

Inside the kit, there should be the following:


1. Packing form
2. Guide to resetting the phone
3. Packaging (a bubble-wrap pack, some foam pads)

Please make sure you fill out the packing form and place it in the return kit with the factory-reset &
unlocked phone packed in the bubble wrap and then placed between the foam in the box.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to return the phone the way SoftBank wants it. Failure to
return the phone correctly may incur a penalty up to the replacement cost of the phone.

The Packing form on the next page must be filled out and included in the return kit.

STEP 4 Prepare Your Phone

iPhone
Follow these steps:
1. If you paired an Apple Watch with your iPhone, unpair your Apple Watch.
2. Back up your device.
3. Sign out of iCloud and the iTunes & App Store.
4. If you're using iOS 10.3 or later, tap Settings > [your name]. Scroll down and tap Sign Out. Enter
your Apple ID password and tap Turn Off.
5. If you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Sign Out. Tap Sign Out again , then tap
Delete from My [device] and enter your Apple ID password. Then go to Settings > iTunes & App
Store > Apple ID > Sign Out.
6. Go back to Settings and tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. If you turned on
Find My iPhone, you might need to enter your Apple ID and password.
7. If asked for your device passcode or Restrictions passcode, enter it. Then tap Erase [device].
8. Contact your carrier for help transferring service to a new owner. If you aren't using a SIM card
with your device, you can contact them to get help transferring service to the new owner.

◆Turn off iCloud and the “Find My Phone” Activation Lock. This is very important.
If you do not turn off the Activation Lock, the phone cannot be processed by SoftBank, and it may
be treated as damaged phone (subject up to a ¥50,000 charge.)

Android
1. Open your device's Settings app .
2. Under "Personal," tap Backup & reset. If needed, enter your PIN, pattern, or password.
3. Tap Factory data reset Reset phone or Reset tablet. If needed, enter your PIN, pattern, or
password.
4. To erase all data from your device's internal storage, tap Erase everything.
5. When your device has finished erasing, pick the option to restart.
6. Set up your device and restore your backed-up data.

The procedure for Android may vary by device.

STEP FIVE Pack Your Phone

Remove anything attached or affixed to the phone, such as cases, holder, screensavers/guards.
Stickers, etc.
There should be a kind of bubble-wrap pack for the phone to go in, please place it in this pack. Then,
place the wrapped phone in-between the foam pieces in the box and close the box. Seal the box.

STEP SIX Send Your Phone

There should be a takkyubin (delivery service) form like the one above included in the “Return Kit.”
Affix this slip to the front of the box inside the brackets. Once prepared, you can either call
050-3032-9151 (In English)《 8:00 ~ 19:00 》to arrange a pick-up, or send it via internet at
https://www.e-service.sagawa-exp.co.jp/portal/do/login/show (Japanese) or take it to the nearest
Sagawa office. Once the delivery company has taken possession of the “Return Kit” this concludes
the return process.
