Philippines 2018, what a tough season for an entire country to be bombarded with nothing but
rampant political scandals, graft and corruption, drugs and criminality here and there, not to mention
the unstable economy due to the inflation it has been suffering, a series of calamities and
environmental concerns, and the burden caused by the endless visits of typhoons and the damage it
brings to our country.

Tell me, is it really more fun in the Philippines? The virtual world says yes.

As Filipinos truly shared both an entire diverse and unique culture, bringing it to the world wide
web reflects the ever optimistic mindset of a Juan. There is a lot of traits a Filipino has inherited to
their forefathers and aside from the mainstream courage and bravery, even they have passed down
to us, a great sense of humor we should never forget to embrace.

A genuine characteristic so evident in our blood. Within just a few scrolls upon one’s timeline
feed, there is a movement bringing such a positive impact upon the digital natives slacking off in front
of their screens. These trendy sets of pictures and videos taken from the mainstream lives and
incidents of normal Philippine life seen through the aid of media never fails to put a smile on my face.
It has captured the good laughs of people through wits only the same culture we share could ever
comprehend.

Filipino memes have become mainly popular to the Generation Z and the millennials and some
online people never misses out on single post.

From the likes of the most known memes up to date like “Wala na, finish na” and “Advance
akong mag-isip”; these examples show how a Filipino brings out the fun in the ordinary. Both memes
only rose to fame from regular news programs yet the same blew the internet.
