The 3D

MUSEUM

Peppa and
George
Hello there!

I am Peppa pig and this is my brother, George! I am

a friend of Teacher Marianne. Since you and
Teacher Marianne cannot meet today, Madame
Gazelle will be with us. Teacher Marianne told
Madame Gazelle that your lesson in term 3 is
about three-dimensional artworks. So Madame
Gazelle decided to bring us to the 3D museum.
Hooray!

As we go to the museum today, we need to know

first our learning targets!

1. I can explain the nature of 2D and

3D forms
2. I can identify different materials
used in making 3D artworks
3. I can create and design a simple
mask inspired by an animal
face
Oh great! I
think we’re
ready to go!
Hooray!
Hello kids! I am Madame Gazelle. I
know that you’re excited to go to the
museum, me either. I’ve learned from
Teacher Marianne that you talked
about two-dimensional (2D) and
three-dimensional (3D) forms last
time. Before we go, will you give
first the characteristics of 2D and
3D.

Very good! This time help me identify

which is 2D and which is 3D.

 I can explain the nature of 2D and 3D forms

Good job kids! Shape is 2D, it
is flat and it has only length
and height. If we add another
dimension like width or
depth to a shape, it becomes a
form. A form is 3D.
I think we’re ready to go.

Madame
Gazelle what
is a museum?

It is a place full
of interesting
things that are
Ohhhhhh… very old.
Finally! We’re here at the museum. Here,
we will see different 3D artworks/forms
that are old. These things were used by
our ancestors.
We will learn also the different materials
used to make these things.
These are 3D artworks that are made of
WOOD. Sungka, trumpo or top, and
wood sculptures. Do you know that
sungka and trumpo are your Grandpa
Wow! and Grandmas’ toys before?
These objects
are really nice! Dinosaur!
Our ancestors Roooaaarrr!!
were really good
in art. I love it!

 I can identify different materials

used in making 3D artworks
That’s good to hear
Peppa. How about
you kids, have you
seen things like
these in your home?

Wow!

I want to make Quack!

mask Madame Quack!
Gazelle. Please?
Okay Peppa. But you and
Teacher Marianne’s class
should first do the activity I
prepared for today. Teacher
Marianne will be glad to know
you worked on this.

Activity #1

Answer the following:

 Let’s Practice (p. 86)

 Let’s Apply C (p. 88)
 Summative Test (pp. 97-99)

Note:
Activity will be checked in
school by the teacher.
Okay that’s it for today. Did you
enjoy going to the 3D Museum? Me?
I’ve got lots of fun and I’m so excited
to make some of those masks. How
about you? Remember, we still need
to achieve the third learning target.
But for us to do that let’s work first
on our Activity #1.
Bye! See you again!
