Essay:

Explain clearly the literary analysis of the novels of Jose Rizal

Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo are the novels made by Jose Rizal to enlighten the Filipinos and to fight for their rights and
freedom. It contains people, places and scenes that are based on real life in Spanish Era. Most of the scenes are conducted in
Intramuros, the walled city. In Noli Me Tangere, Spanish Friars were described as corrupt, immoral and abusive. The main character
Crisostomo Ibarra was apparently based on the author itself, Jose Rizal and the lead female character which is Maria Clara was Leonor
Rivera in real life. It is said that Noli Me Tangere is the bridge between the Propaganda and Revolution Movement in 1896. El
Filibusterismo, the second novel of Jose Rizal that is about REVOLUTION. For Spaniards, it was the last warning that they are afraid
of. It has 600 copies and was published in 1891. The novel is about inspiring Filipinos to revolt but shows that anger, vengeance, and
cruelty is not the solution in every problem. The male lead character Simoun which is the new appearance of Crisostomo Ibarra will
plan the revolution in El Filibusterismo. The novels attack the Spanish Government and serve as the word of warning for the
revolution that will happen. It awakens the Filipino to fight for their freedom. It clearly defines the profound description of mentality
and revolution, as El Filibusterismo is about morality. Both of Jose Rizal Novel’s are made so Filipinos can achieve the freedom and
fought to the Spaniards as they are hindering their hope to get the peace and freedom they want.
