Hello and great Sunday to everyone

“He (God) gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak…. But those
who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength“ Isaiah 40:28-31. I want you to ponder
on that truth today. Right now in your homes, in your rooms, or wherever you are right
now listening to these truths, we may face weariness in life of how we may survive
another crisis. You may feel that our prayers may seem to do little. But Let me tell you
this from the heart of the scripture that we have a Great God who attends to our very
cries. We have the heavenly host who is close to the brokenhearted. And we have the
covering of the power of the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ whom we are called by His
Name.
We ask the question how must one face weariness? How must a Christian continue to
dwell in faith when faith is tested?
We have a similar story of one man who faced the desolation of his city and his country.
On how he knocked on the heavens and on how God responded to this man. I entitled
this message “knocking on Heaven”- Let us spend a few moments in prayer.
Knocking on Heaven
Daniel 9:18-23
18 O my God, incline Your ear and hear! Open
Your eyes and see our desolations and the city
which is called by Your name; for we are
not presenting our supplications before You on
account of any merits of our own, but on account
compassion 19 O Lord,
of Your great compassion. Lord hear! O Lord,
Lord
forgive! O Lord,
Lord listen and take action! For Your
own sake, O my God, do not delay,
delay because Your
city and Your people are called by Your name.”
name
20 Now while I was speaking and praying,
praying
and confessing my sin and the sin of my people
Israel,
Israel and presenting my supplication before
the LORD my God in behalf of the holy mountain
of my God, 21 while I was still speaking in prayer,
prayer
then the man Gabriel,
Gabriel whom I had seen in the
vision previously, came to me in my extreme
weariness about the time of the evening
offering.
22 He gave me instruction and talked with me
and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to
understanding 23 At
give you insight with understanding.
the beginning of your supplications
the command was issued,
issued and I have come to
tell you, for you are highly esteemed;
esteemed so give
heed to the message and gain understanding of
the vision.
