4. Procedure
4.1 Introductory Start the class with a review of the past lesson
Activity Ask the following questions:
Do you write every day?
What do you often write every day?
4.2 Activity Give samples of different types of writing, may it be a letter, a news article, or an
essay, and call students to say something about it.
4.3 Analysis Ask the following questions to the students.
What is academic writing?
What is professional writing?
What is your purpose in writing?
4.4 Abstraction Discussion/ Lecture (Please refer to the Learner’s Manual)
4.5 Application Ask the following question to random students.
What is the difference between academic writing and professional writing?
4.6 Assessment Have the students write an article about the history of your locality.
4.7 Assignment What are the features and requirements in composing texts?

1. Remarks Indicate below special cases including but not limited to continuation of
lesson plan to the following day in case of re-teaching or lack of time,
transfer of lesson to the following day, in cases of class suspension, etc.

3. Reflections Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your
student’s progress this week. What works? What else needs to be done to
help the students learn? Identify what help your instructional supervisors
can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them relevant
questions. Indicate below whichever is/are appropriate.
