ANNEXURE L - SUB-CONTRACTORS, SUB-VENDORS AND ASSOCIATES LIST

The CONTRACTOR shall endeavour to employ for the majority of the Works local SUB-
CONTRACTORS, who shall only be selected from the approved list of SUB-CONTRACTORS
specified in Volume 2, Book 1, Sub-Section 4A.4.

For Electo-Mechanical Works, the CONTRACTOR may propose their own SUB-CONTRACTOR,
but the CONTRACTOR shall detail herein their SUB-CONTRACTOR’s experience in such works,
for technical evaluation by ADWEA. Non-submission of such details shall lead to rejection of the
SUB-CONTRACTOR.

The technical evaluation of the Tenderer’s submission shall take into consideration the Tenderer’s
proposal for SUB-CONTRACTORs and sub-vendors.

In respect of freight forwarding and transportation CONTRACTORs need to consider, for


nomination, SUB-CONTRACTORs from well established local/international companies with
sizeable resources both locally and internationally in order to efficiently handle the project freight
forwarding and transportation.

The CONTRACTOR may subcontract part of the Works to specialised and well-experienced SUB-
CONTRACTOR(s) after obtaining prior written approval from ADWEA. CONTRACTOR, during
bidding, shall advise its intention regarding all possible SUB-CONTRACTORs including but not
limited to CONTRACTOR’s Third Party Inspection Agency – TPIA. In this respect
CONTRACTOR’s submission shall only include what CONTRACTOR believes to represent its
(CONTRACTOR) short listed nominated SUB-CONTRACTORs, for each envisaged subcontract,
being in line with CONTRACT requirements.

Further more the CONTRACTOR and all SUB-CONTRACTORs are required to fulfil the
registration and other mandatory requirements with relevant Abu Dhabi authorities such as
Municipality and Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
