INTRODUCTION

Nowadays, the consumption of meat in developing countries has been steadily increasing.
Meat includes all animal-based red meats like beef, veal, pork and lamb. Meat is good source of
energy and some essential nutrients which includes protein and micronutrients such as iron,
zinc, and vitamin B12. Adequate consumption of these nutrients can be achieved without
eating meat if a wide variety of other foods are available and consumed (Warren, 2018). There
are mainly three reasons why people choose meat. First, it has a good taste and desirable
flavor. Second, meat consumption is often related to social status or enjoyed during special
events. Lastly, because meat has desirable nutritional benefits and supports human health
(Boler & Woerner, 2017).

Fresh Meat
Fresh meat is a sensitive product which cannot retains its desired sensory qualities and
food microbial safety for longer period.

Frozen Meat
As global trade is expanding and the producer-consumer distances are extended, th
freezing of meat is very important for storage and transport.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

This research aims to study the preference in buying meat products, its effects on our body
and its relationship with costumers satisfaction. To gather data to which are more preferable
between frozen meat and fresh meat.

DATA COLLECTION PROCEDURE

Quantitative data collection methods are based on mathematical calculations is various

formats. One of the methods is data gathering through the use of surveys. The researcher will
personally visited the random market in Cavite area to conduct the surveys on the market
place. In order to support the validity of the data, the researchers also consulted the internet
for studies, books and other scholarly articles and also visited the library to read various
materials that are relevant to the study being conducted.

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT

For the study’s research instrument, the researchers chose survey to gather information.
This method is the most efficient and quirkiest wway of collecting information from large nuber
of people. The survey questionnaire was developed by modifying certain parts of valid and
reliable questionnaire which was already utilized in a previous study.
