FLOODING
There is no other natural disaster that
caused many casualties like a flood.
- Floods irrigated the crops and
fertilize the soils.
- Excessive waters channels into
reservoirs and power
hydroelectric drums.
Flood occur in many other ways:
- Heavy rains and overflowing
rivers
- Storm surges by hurricane and
tsunamis
- Landslides and mudflows.
- Dams break and levees break.
Things to remember during floods:
- Wait for advisory
- Watch out for yellow, orange
and red warnings
- Remember your assigned
evacuation area.
- Pack your emergency bags
- Don’t play with floods.

Formation of Thunderstorms:
Warm air in the lowest layers of the
atmosphere rises called updraft. The
air causes the water to evaporate
bringing moisture in the clouds.
The clouds will then grow bigger up to
at least 10 miles (16 km). It will be
darker and filled with water.
Cool, dry air from the upper part of the
atmosphere called downdraft causing it
to rain.
