 TASK 3
1. If there are many banks collapse in Indonesia, we would likely lose access to credit. Banks
would close. Demand would outstrip supply of food, gas, and other necessities. If the collapse
affected local governments and utilities, then water and electricity might no longer be
available.
The most common cause of bank failure occurs when the value of the bank's assets falls to
below the market value of the bank's liabilities, which are the bank's obligations to creditors
and depositors. This might happen because the bank loses too much on its investments.
2. In one sight, it is about asset-liability management's decisions. We cannot say that it is more
risky, but we cannot say that "not risky/ not safe". From its nature, you cannot trade risky
instruments including gharar, but (if you want) you can always find a way to invest risky
instruments. Volume of sukuk and mudarabah show this risk awareness, in general.
3. I would love if Banks have “interest-free”. But, nothing is free in this world.
