I. Introduction

A toy is an item that is used in play, typically a model or miniature replica of something.

Some toys are produced primarily as collectors' items and are intended for display only and some

toys are made to move enabling the building of working models and mechanical devices. Many

items are designed to serve as toys, but goods produced for other purposes can also be

engineered to be used in making a unique toy. Our goal is to create an innovative toy that is fun

and enjoyable to use and the materials used are readily available.

Inspired by a real-life model, the project will consist of 2 different devices that use the

hydraulic systems (Garbage Truck and Excavator). With this in mind, the proponents limits to

the replication of the rear garbage truck hydraulic system and the main excavator mechanism

(See Appendix: Figure X & Figure X). The excavator does the lifting of the garbage from the
garbage container to the garbage truck. Once the garbage is transferred to the garbage truck, the

bucket (which contains the hydraulic system) compress the garbage from the bucket to its body.

If you wish to dispose the garbage inside the body, a dumping mechanism that uses the hydraulic

system lifts the body and disposes the garbage.

The hydraulic system functions and performs tasks through using a fluid that is

pressurized. Another way to put this is the pressurized fluid makes things work. The power of

liquid fuel in hydraulics is significant and as a result, hydraulic are commonly used in heavy

equipment. That pressurized fluid acts upon every part of the section of a containing vessel and

creates force or power.
