 Runway Surface Repair
EMERGENCY SPALL REPAIRS
Concrete surfaces are constantly under attack by the elements and its designed utilization resulting
in the need for repairs of spalls, peels and chip away parts.

Most of repair teams and contractors especially those operating on busy highways and live airfields,
under pressure to put repaired portions back into operation and save time and money. They are
forced to perform a cosmetic face lift repair which is fast, clean but temporary and on a long term
become a direct result of a more expensive and time consuming damage, often irreversible. The key
to quality repair of concrete is to know what caused the problem in the first place. It’s all about
understanding of how concrete works as well as careful consideration of core design, surroundings,
and weather conditions, kind of operation and even operational history of the affected area. Every
bit of information counts.

Our repair team is constantly trained to understand the way pavement function under
circumstances and what caused the damage. AEROTECH will then inform the customer of causes of
damage and advise on methods of repair. We work with top manufacturers of pavement repair such
as FOSROC, WEBER, PRISMO, POSSEHL, URETEK, CHEMCHRETE among others.

AEROTECH organize a demo repair at Customer’s location along with all supporting study
calculations and documentation. We also provide a limited warranty for all our repairs and stand by
our commitment to customer.

LIFTING OF CONCRETE SLABS

Slab sinking happens mostly due to poor compaction during installation
or overtime settlement of soil. This cleats empty pockets in subsurface,
which are filled with air, loose soil or water. Slabs then sink under load
stress.

We utilize various methods to empty ground voids and replace it with

purpose built, high strength, quick reaction resins that cure within an
hour. This short and highly technical repair process ensures that airfield
operations on apron or runway are reduced to minimum.
Runway Surface Repair

Managing the vegetation on airfields is one

Reroute, Repair And Refilling

of Slab Joints
An expansion joint or movement joint is an
assembly designed to safely absorb the heat-
induced expansion and contraction of
construction materials, to absorb vibration, to
hold parts together, or to allow movement due to
ground settlement or external impact.

It is recommended that refilling of slab expansion joints

be done every 2-5 years depending on factors such as:
Size and function of joint, Type and quality of materials
used (most materials are designed to wear out at the
end of specific time period to ensure timely replace-
ment for quality function of joints), Kind of bonding
materials, Ambient temperature, external interfer-
ence, quantity of ground activity/impact and more
important Quality of workmanship.
Installation & Maintenance
of Airfield Visual Aids
SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF AIRFIELD LIGHTING
(AGL)
There are clearly defined rules and guidance on manufacture and
installation of airfield visual aids by ICAO and FAA. However, installation
and performance of any system depends on infrastructure and
Customer’s operational needs that may vary.

We work with leading manufacturers to provide our Customers with

quality equipment. Our AGL Engineers will provide Customer with
evidence and competent advice what kind of equipment and why subject
AGL equipment is suitable for present requirement.
Our teams of qualified engineers and technicians have undergone
intensive training of ICAO Courses and are certified to perform quality
AGL installation, Testing and Commissioning.
AEROTECH also is a heliports equipment supplier and contractor. Our
offer includes comprehensive execution of heliports starting from design
with obtaining all approvals for construction permits, execution of
equipment deliveries, civil works, commissioning and warranty and post-
warranty maintenance service ending on heliport registration at GCAA.
We cooperate with well-known heliport equipment manufacturers: ADB,
PLC, Crouse-Hinds, SafeGate Group, EFLA and GEOBRUGG AG. We

AVIATION OBSTRUCTION LIGHTING
Air accidents cause immense loss to human life and property. History is
witness to innumerable air disasters. Accidents can be avoided by small
precautions. Amongst various measures, visual aids are of immense
importance in creating a safer sky. Tall, manmade structures and other
geographical obstructions pose threat to airplanes in poor visibility. Low
flying aircraft's, despite the modern navigational facilities on board, need
prominent obstruction markings in their flight paths. These mark- ings
should be loud and clear to attract the pilot's attention.

Preventive Maintenance and Qualified Workforce
Where thousands of lights are installed on a single average size airfield, so
are thousands of lamps, gaskets, transformers, connections and countless
mounting hardware. Integrity of all components is crucial for system
functionality. A malfunction of just 1 transformer will jeopardize hundreds
of other transformers on the entire AGL circuit and so countless lights.
Maintenance of AGL is a Constant Effort to ensure airfield is operational at
all times. It is vital to perform a properly scheduled Preventive Maintenance
by properly trained and qualified personnel.
