Subject: FIR against the Director of National Zoological Park with the butcher & Members of Committee

Greetings,

Kindly refer to the AWBI letter No.9-2/2020-21-PCA/8 Dated 8.04.2020 & CZA letter 27-1/2020-
CZA(AK) Dated 10th April, 2020: Rule 2, sub-rule (b) & (c) and Rule 3 under the Prevention of Cruelty
to Animals (Slaughter House) Rules, 2001 & section 11 (m) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act,
1960 read with sub-schedule 3 of Rule 10 under the Recognition of Zoo Rules, 2009 mandates creation of
infrastructure in a zoo as per the Master Plan, approved by the CZA along with CZA letter of 2011,
quoting the legal provisions read with the Compendium, approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India
in CWP No. 309 of 2003.

Scouts & Guides for Animals & Birds along with OIPA: Indian People for Animals asked AWBI
& CZA to recall Delhi Zoo recognition under section 38 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 read
with the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 & Slaughter House Rules, 2001 besides
Delhi Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, may STOP illegal slaughtering as criminal
conspiracy, lodging FIR with Delhi Police at once, keeping in view Compendium as per CWP
No. 309 of 2003, besides the guidelines of Central Pollution Control Board & National
Biodiversity Authority as spoiling flora & fauna. Action Required: AWBI & CZA needs
immediate attention, to prevent contempt of court, responsible as Delhi Zoo Director with Food
Committee & Contractor, who breached MoU with CZA to supply, lodge FIR, STOP contempt of
court, Ban slaughtering in the Delhi Zoo, rescuing abused animals, in death row, restoring their
five freedoms.

Whereas performance of six species banned by the AWD, Biological resources are displayed for profit
without sharing profit, violating Guidelines on Access to Biological Resources and Associated
Knowledge and Benefits Sharing Regulations, 2014.

Hence FIR may be lodged against criminal gang, restoring five freedoms of animals & birds, in death row
