This set is a great way to give your
students practice with opinion writing. There
are 60 different “this or that” writing
prompts. On each page, there are two
choices at the top. Students choose one of
the topics and write about it. There are
four different formats:
* The first set has “I like ______ because
_______.” This sentence frame will support
beginning writers.
* The second set has blank lines for students to
write their own story.
* The third set also has “I like ______ because
_______.” sentence frames, but it also uses
handwriting lines.
* The fourth set has blank handwriting lines for
students to write their own story.

In addition to the student writing prompts, there

are also full-color cards to match each prompt.
These can be used for whole group
interactive/shared writing or for graphing
purposes.
