Assignment 4 - Stationery Design

Description: Create a stationery package based on one of the logos design in assignment 3. Students will
produce a 2-color stationery package including:

•Business Card 3.5”x2” or 2”x3.5”

Company’s logo, Person’s name, Title (Example: Supervisor), company’s address, company’s phone
number with extension number, company’s fax number (optional), person’s work email address, and
company’s website.
•Letterhead 8.5”x11”
Company’s logo, company’s name, company’s address, company’s 1-800 phone number, company’s fax
number (optional), and company’s website.
•#10 Envelope 9.5”x4.125”
Company’s logo, company’s name, and company’s address.

The same 2 color of the logo assignment will be used. Stock paper is encouraged, and students may
stimulate custom printing techniques (embossing, foil, and watermarks) through illustrative methods.

1. Assignment 4a (10 each stationery item/30 points): Create a minimum of 3 different thumbnails for the
letterhead, #10 envelope and business card. Total of 9 thumbnails. Due 2 pm, week 16.

2. Assignment 4b (25 each/75 points): Stationery. Upon instructor review of your thumbnails, continue
development of your stationery package. You only need to design one set. Do not use both logos you
designed. If you want to design a second set, that is extra credit. Start computer comps in InDesign.
You should have 3 documents, 1 for each piece. Size is important. See above information for sizes. Print
all of them out. The only thing that should be printed fit to page is the stationery. Business card and
envelope should be printed with crop marks. Due 3 pm, week 17.

3. Assignment 4c (100 each/300 points): Stationery. Upon instructor review, finalize the stationery. Print
all items on specialty paper. Have extra sheets! The only thing that should be printed fit to page is the
stationery. Business card and envelope should be printed with crop marks. Export all items out as PDF’s,
and put them on the server: lastname_firstname_businesscard, lastname_firstname_stationery, and last-
name_firstname_envelope. Due 3 pm, week 18.
