POST GRADUATE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST-2020 (SKUCET – 2020)

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES
A.GENERAL
1. The Convener (SKUCET-2020), Directorate of Admissions, Sri Krishnadevaraya University,

Ananthapuramu invites online applications through the website: www.skudoa.in for admission into
various Post Graduate (PG) courses in Arts, Sciences and Commerce offered in Sri Krishnadevaraya
University, Ananthapuramu and its affiliated colleges for the academic year 2020–21.
2. The admissions are governed by the SKUCET-2020 rules and regulations given below. The Advisory
Committee of SKUCET-2020 reserves the right to change or modify the rules and regulations.
3. For getting admission, a candidate should qualify SKUCET-2020 and satisfy the eligibility criteria
prescribed for the course. No candidate will be admitted by the University or the affiliated college without
Rank in SKUCET-2020 under Convener quota.
4. Indian Nationals who are natives of other States (other than Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) are eligible for
admission under National Integration Quota (5%). These seats are over and above the existing seats.
5. Foreign nationals/NRIs can be admitted without Entrance Test subject to satisfying the eligibility criteria and
production of STUDENT VISA for the period of study in the University.
6. Post Graduate (PG) degree holders of a particular course/subject are not entitled for admission into the same
course/subject. However, a PG degree holder can pursue another PG course in a different
course/subject but is not eligible for hostel admission and scholarship.
7. No candidate is entitled to pursue more than one course at any point of time. Similarly, the candidate cannot
take up any employment (either Full-time or Part-time) while pursuing a course in the University.
8. University reserves the right to run or not to run a particular course basing on the economic viability
depending on the number of candidates who opt to join in it.
9. Qualifying in SKUCET-2020 does not guarantee admission. The candidate must satisfy all the eligibility
criteria prescribed for admission into the course.
10. If it is proved that any of the certificates submitted by a candidate is tampered or fake, the candidate not only
looses seat but also liable for prosecution.
11. The rule of reservation is not applicable for Payment seats and NRI seats.
12. Not with standing anything in this Booklet, the rules and regulations that are in force in the Government
University from time to time are applicable.
13. Before applying for SKUCET – 2020, the candidate has to verify him/her self about the eligibility to write a
particular Test and seek admission into the related course.
14. The Code of Conduct & Disciplinary Rules to university students and Residents of Hostels including Anti
Ragging regulations and undertaking as approved by Executive Council, S.K.University / Govt of A.P.
directions and guidelines from time to time applicable
15. The University reserves the right to modify courses/seats available in the Colleges and the same will be
made available in the website: www.skudoa.in
16. If the applicants are less than the existing seats in a subject, then there will be no Entrance Examination.

B. COURSES OFFERED FOR STUDY
The courses offered are of two years duration (4 Semesters) including M.Ed. Course. The
PG Diploma in yoga course duration is one year (2 Semesters) . The Choice Based Credit System
(CBCS) will be in vogue for all the courses offered at Sri Krishnadevaraya University College and
affiliated colleges. The Regular (R), Payment (P) and Self Financing (SF) courses offered in the
University/affiliated colleges are as follows.

Candidates seeking admission into M. A. Rural Development course may note that
fieldwork and viva-voce examination carrying 100 marks are compulsory in second and fourth
semesters. Besides, the candidates are required to submit the dissertation on a specified theme
in fourth semester carrying 100 marks. Further, the candidates are required to go for Block
Placement in NGOs/Government Organizations for six weeks at the end of fourth semester,
carrying 100 marks.

D. ELIGIBILITY FOR WRITING THE ENTRANCE TEST

1. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% marks
in the concerned subject. For the courses where the admission is based on the degree as a whole,
the aggregate percentage of marks in the group subjects should be 40%. For admission into
M.Ed., the aggregate marks in B.Ed. should be 50% and in degree/PG should be 45%. Pass is
sufficient for SC/ST candidates for admission into any course.
2. Candidates who have already passed the qualifying examination or who have appeared / are
appearing for the final year annual examination in 2020 are also eligible to apply. Supplementary
candidates of 2020 are not eligible.
3. Eligibility criteria fixed for each course is given in Section-T
E. HOW TO APPLY
1. Candidate has to submit online Application through the website: www.skudoa.in by
clicking on the button SKUCET-2020.
2. The cost of each application is Rs. 500/- and it should be paid through Debit Card/ Credit
3. Card/Internet Banking in online.
3. Instructions to the candidate and Prospectus can be obtained from website: www.skudoa.in
4. Candidate has to submit separate application for each course/subject.
5. Online applications can be submitted from 11.03.2020 onwards.
F. LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF ONLINE APPLICATIONS

The last date for online application without late fee is on or before 10.04.2020.
G. LATE APPLICATIONS
Online Applications will be accepted from 11.04.2020 to 20-04-2020 with late fee of Rs.500-00
(Rs.500-00+Rs.500-00=Rs.1000-00) paid through online.
Online applications will be accepted from 21.04.2020 to 30.04.2020 with an additional late
fee of Rs.1,000-00 (Rs.500-00+ Rs.1,000-00 = Rs. 1,500-00) Paid through online.
With Tatkal fee of Rs.5000-00(Rs.500-00+Rs.5000-00=Rs.5500-00) from 01.05.2020 to till

two days before the commencement of SKUCET-2020 examinations
H. HALL TICKETS
1. Hall tickets for the Entrance Test will be available online to the candidates 7 days before
the commencement of SKUCET-2020.
2. Candidate can download the Hall Ticket from the website: www.skudoa.in and attend the
Entrance Test.
3. SKUCET-2020 Hall Ticket is to be preserved carefully and produced at the time of admission
along with their Rank Card.

J. PARTICULARS OF ENTRANCE TESTS

1. There is a prescribed syllabus for each Entrance Test given in 3 Sections. The syllabus of
each Test consists of Section-A for 30 marks, Section-B for 30 marks and Section-C for 40
marks.
2. Each Entrance Test will be of 90 minutes duration with 100 multiple choice questions. Each
question carries one mark and there is no negative mark for wrong answer.
3. The question paper for English will be in English; Telugu will be in Telugu; and Hindi will
be in Hindi. For all other Tests, the question papers will be in both English and Telugu.
4. No candidate will be permitted into the examination hall without proper Hall Ticket.
5. Calculators, books, papers, mathematical and physical tables, slide rulers, pagers, electronic
organizers, digital diaries, cellular phones or any other calculating aids are not allowed into
the Examination Hall.
6. Candidate should answer only on the OMR SHEET provided to him/her with name, Hall
Ticket number and Photo printed on it.
7. Any candidate booked under malpractice in SKUCET-2020 Entrance Test is not eligible for
admission.
K. RANKING
1. The minimum qualifying Marks in the Entrance Test is 25. However, for SC/ST candidates
there is no minimum qualifying marks.
2. When there is a tie on the basis of marks obtained in the Test as a whole, it will be resolved
on the basis of marks obtained in degree. If there is still a tie, it will be resolved as per
seniority in age.
3. Rank Cards can be downloaded by the candidates within 10 days after the announcement of
SKUCET–2020 results from the website www.skudoa.in
4. The Rank obtained in SKUCET-2020 is valid for admission in the academic year 2020-21
only.
5. There is NO provision for REVALUATION or PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION of Answer
Sheet of SKUCET–2020.
L. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
1. Admissions will be based on SKUCET-2020 Rank, subject to fulfilment of other eligibility
criteria.
2. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with minimum percentage of
marks when he/she is called for the counseling for admission, failing which the qualified
candidates next in Rank would be admitted.
3. Admissions pertaining to all the colleges will be made through counseling at Directorate of
Admissions, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu.
4. Candidates have to attend the counseling on the date and time at their own expenses with
the required original documents and fees.
5. If a candidate fails to attend the counseling on the specified date and time for whatever
reason (including non-receipt or delayed receipt of call letter), he/she will forfeit the seat and
the candidate next in Rank will be considered for counseling. Any representation for
postponement of the date and time of counseling or exemption from personal appearance
will not be entertained.

6. Late comers for the counseling on the scheduled date will be considered for the available
vacancies at that point of time only. If a candidate attends on the subsequent date of the
counseling in the same phase, he/she may be considered on the next day before the
counseling for the candidates scheduled for the day.
7. If a candidate reports after the counseling for the subject in a given phase is over such a
candidate will be considered for admission in the next phase of counseling subject to the
availability of vacancy in the subject and category concerned.
8. At the time of counseling, the following original documents should be submitted by the
candidate:

Marks statements and Provisional/Degree certificate of the qualifying examination
Transfer certificate and Study & Conduct certificate
SSC and Intermediate pass certificates
Six Passport size photographs
Study certificates from IX class to qualifying examination
Caste certificate in original from Tahshildar in case of SC/ST/BC candidates (integrated
caste certificate or temporary caste certificate taken in 2020)
Income certificates from the Tahshildar obtained in 2020/Ration card
Relevant certificate in case of other reservations (PH/NCC/NSS/Games & Sports/NI)

Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of a child of armed
person.
Residence certificate of parents for stay in the state of A.P. from Tahshildar in case
of candidates who have studied outside A.P. / carried out private study
Migration certificate (for other than SVU region candidates)
9. The cases of pending revaluation will not be considered.

10. Admission will be finalized on the day of counseling on the basis of Rank obtained in the
Entrance Test and fulfillment of eligibility criteria subject to rules of reservation. Candidate
who fails to produce all the necessary certificates, particularly TC & CC, Marks memo and
reservation category certificates at the time of counseling will forfeit admission and the
candidate next in Rank will be admitted. If selected, the candidate has to pay the prescribed
fee immediately.
11. Cancellation of admission is allowed with a cancellation fee of Rs .500-00 until the
Commencement of second phase of counseling.
12 An admitted candidate is allowed to opt for change of college on web counseling only.
13. During the second phase counseling (even on the day of counseling) the cancellation fee
would be Rs.1000-00.
14. No refund of fee is allowed after the completion of second /last phase of counseling.
15. All the admissions are purely provisional and the University reserves the right to cancel the
admission at any stage.
16. The admission shall be made into M.P.Ed. Course on the basis of marks obtained in the
Entrance test (Theory), conducted by the University and the achievement in Sports &
Games. The Entrance Examination (Theory) will be conducted by the Convener, SKUCET
2020 for 100 marks. The weightage marks of 100 for Sports & Games shall be reckoned
based on the highest level he/she has played and certificate produced, on the day of Entrance
test. The certificates submitted by the candidate at the time of Entrance test will be subject to
verification for the genuineness of the certificate from the issuing authority. There will not
be any reservation under ECA quota for Sports & Games for admission into M.P.Ed.
Course.

M. READMISSION RULES
1. Candidates after completing a semester successfully and discontinue the course in the
subsequent semesters on valid grounds and intend to rejoin, they have to pay total fee in
case of re-admission.
2. The Candidate has to apply in response to the SKUCET advertisement for admission into I,
III, V Semesters.
3. The candidate has to apply well in advance (preferably 15 days before the commencement
of the semester) on a plain paper through the Head of the Department concerned for
admissions into II, IV, VI Semesters.
4. Prolonged sickness, employment and marriage (in case of women) are considered to be valid
reasons. Those who discontinue on medical grounds have to produce evidence from a
District Medical Board. Those who discontinue on account of employment have to apply for
appropriate leave and produce relieving certificate from the employer. Women students who
discontinue on account of marriage have to produce appropriate evidence (marriage
registration certificate). The period of discontinuation cannot be more than two academic
years.
5. Student doing semester based courses and left after taking T.C. and C.C. to join B.Ed course,
are permitted to rejoin the course in the respective semester in the succeeding academic
year.
6. Each semester course is a qualifying course. Without completion of the preceding semester
course a candidate is not eligible to join the succeeding semester course. A candidate who
has completed I semester but did not do II semester (say during the year 2018-19) has to do
II semester during next year (2019-20) along with the batch of candidates admitted in the
academic year 2019-20 and III and IV semester during 2020-21. Students who discontinue I
semester course after putting in a minimum of 30% of attendance in any academic year
along, be given readmission to I semester in the succeeding academic year without Entrance
Test. Those who do not put in 30% of attendance in I semester have to appear for
SKUCET/LAWCET/ICET and qualify themselves for admission. Candidates who
discontinue II, III, IV, V, VI semester courses after the completion of the preceeding
semester will be given readmission in the succeeding year of discontinuation in the
immediate next semester course, irrespective of the attendance put in by the candidate in
semester II, III, IV, V and VI as the case may be.
7. In case of any shortage of attendance for Re-admission the student has to pay the full fee
again at the time of Re-admission.
N. LOCAL AND NON-LOCAL CANDIDATES

1. The SVU region comprises of areas coming under Sri Venkateswara University, Sri
Krishnadevaraya University, Rayalaseema University, Yogi Vemana University, Vikrama
Simhapuri University, Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam and Dravidian University.
The OU region comprises of Osmania, Kakatiya, Satavahana, Mahatma Gandhi, Telengana
and Palamur University areas. The AU region comprises of Andhra, Acharya Nagarjuna,
Dr.B.R. Ambedkar, Krishna and Adi Kavi Nannaya University areas.
2. A candidate is treated as local, if
a. he/she has studied in SVU region (or stayed in case of private study) for four
consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she has first
appeared for the final year qualifying examination.
b. he/she has studied (or stayed in case of private study) for seven consecutive academic
years within the states of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana ending with the academic year in
which he/she first appeared for the final year qualifying examination and studied (or
stayed in case of private study) for a maximum period in SVU region.

c. In case a candidate has studied (or stayed in case of private study) for equal periods in
two different regions during the last seven years, he/she is local if he/she has studied (or
stayed in case of private study) latest in SVU region.
d. In case of admission into M.Ed. and M.P.Ed. courses, the candidates should have studied
maximum period out of seven years in SVU region even she/he has studied the B.Ed. /
B.P.Ed. course in outside the state.
3. Any candidate who is not local to SVU region will be treated as non-local, if
a. He/she is local to any other region in Andhra Pradesh / Telangana States.
b. He/she resided for a total period of not less than 10 years in Andhra Pradesh /
Telangana, excluding the periods of study outside the State.
c. His/her parents have resided in Andhra Pradesh / Telangana for a total period not less
than 10 years.
d. His/her parent/spouse is presently working in Andhra Pradesh / Telangana in
government or allied services.
O. ALLOCATION OF SEATS TO VARIOUS RESERVATION CATEGORIES

1. 85% of the seats in each course are filled with local candidates of SVU region, while 15% are
filled with local or non-local candidates on merit.
2. Seats allocated for different reserved categories are as follows: SC-15%, ST-6%, BCA-
7%, BCB-10%, BCC-1%, BCD-7%, BCE-4%, NCC-1%, NSS-1%, Games and Sports
- 1%, PH (Physically Handicapped)-3% and CAP (Children of Armed Personnel)-
2%(ECA and PH are for local candidates only). Any other reservations are applicable
from time to time as per Government of Andhra Pradesh.
2(A). As per Go Ms.No. 60 dated20.07.2019 10% of seats (over and above) to the sanctioned
strength are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections, of other than SC/ST/BC
who are not covered under any reservation.
3. Reservation for women: 33.33% of the seats are reserved for women candidates in each
category (i.e., OPEN, SC, ST, BC, ECA and PH). This rule is not applied if women
candidates selected on merit in a category from one third or more of the seats therein. If there
are no suitable women candidates in a category, the seats will be filled with men candidates
of the same category.
4. A vacancy under SC goes to ST and vice-versa. If enough SC & ST candidates are not
available, the left-over seats will go to OC. A vacancy under one BC group goes to any
other BC group on the basis of merit in Entrance Rank. If enough BC candidates are
not available, the left-over seats will go to OC.
5. For admission into Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) seats, participation during the
period of study of the qualifying examination is alone considered.
6. Expert committees nominated by the University will certify the suitability and priority
of the candidates under special categories (ECA/PH/CAP)
P. PAYMENT SEATS
In most of the Regular (R) courses, additional seats are provided as Payment (P) seats. The
candidates selected for admission under this category have to pay the prescribed fee at the time
of admission in addition to Special fee of the respective courses. The payment fee has to be paid
in second year also. The payment seat candidate will not be transferred to regular
seats even if the regular candidate cancels the seat after closing date of admissions.

Q. NRI SEATS
In some of the courses, additional seats are provided as NRI seats. The candidates selected for
admission under this category have to pay the NRI fee at the time of admission, in addition to
the special fee payable. The NRI fee has to be paid in second year also.
Admissions for Payment and NRI seats will be done simultaneously along with the
Regular and Self Finance seats. Candidates have to come prepared with necessary fee.
R. FEE PARTICULARS
Each candidate has to pay Rs.400-00 (Rs.200-00 for SC/ST category) towards registration
and counseling fees. Fee details of all courses at different institutions will be made available in
the website: www.skudoa.in Each admitted candidate has to pay the fee immediately in the
bank counter provided at the counseling venue. Fee concession is allowed to SC/ST/BC
candidates for regular and self financing courses on the production of valid caste and income
certificates as per the G.O.s in vogue. SC/ST/BC category candidates claiming fee
exemption/reimbursement have to produce parental income certificate (Rs.1,00,000-00 or less)
taken on or after 01-04-2020. Fee concession is not applicable for payment and NRI
categories and those admitted under Left over Convener quota and Management quota.
The fee reimbursement for Self-FinanceCourses from the Government will be a maximum
of Rs.20,000-00 So, the SC/ST/BC candidates have to pay the remaining fee at the time of
Counseling (vide G.O. MS.No.56, Social Welfare Department, dated 06-10-2003). An
amount of Rs.175-00 from each admitted candidates towards Insurance coverage for two
years and Rs. 25-00 towards skill Development entrepreneurship & incubation will be
collected at the time of admission. EWS admissions made basing on submission of EWS
certificate issued by the concerned.
Regarding Management seats a processing fee of Rs.1000-00 will be collected from the
concerned college into whom admission is sought. Admission for management quota seats in
private affiliated colleges will be accepted within one month after closing date of admissions.
If any candidate admitted into BC/SC/ST category does not get fee reimbursement from the
Government, he/she will have to pay the specified fee to the University. Or if the government
reimburses only part of the fee, the student has to pay the remaining fee.
The candidates are advised to see the website www.skudoa.in from time to time for information
with regard to the availability of the course in a particular institution, number of seats available,
fee particulars etc.
