0 Badges - Tips
Starter choice:
Your starter has to be Sandshrew because it’s the only starter who can evolve without using an elemental stone.
Important info:
1 - Like FR/LG POCs, saving money matters since you start with no money so you don’t want to skip any trainer battle.
2 - Go to your PC and there will be a rare candy instead of a potion so make sure you get it.
3 - Before entering the Nightclub, make sure you have 550 Pokédollars because it's the only way to get Totodile; While
you're there, talk to a female Team Rocket Grunt and she'll give you the Old Amber.
Grinding spots:
Route 22 is your best choice because of Kangaskhan and level 5 Mankeys.
1 Badge (Brock) - Tips
Pickup Squad:
As soon as you get to Route 5, catch 5 Meowth since all of them have the Pickup ability and you don't need to train
them to get Rare Candies like most generations after generation 3
Grinding spots:
Route 6 and Diglett's Cave are good in terms of experience but your best choice would be to grind on Diglett's Cave.
2 Badges (Misty) - Tips
Game Corner:
If you hate/have bad luck on the Game Corner and you rather spend your money on buying coins then you'll need
370000 Pokédollars just to buy 4 Pokémon and the total is including all the coins you can have before buying coins
(which the total is 310 coins by talking to NPCs and finding them on the floor). So you best strategy is:
1 - Have a Persian with the move Pay Day while holding an Amulet Coin;
2 - Enter a a trainer/wild battle;
3 - Spam Pay Day until you get 370000 Pokédollars.
Replacements:
1 - Gift Eevee replaced by Torchic;
2 - Gift Lapras replaced by Skarmory;
Grinding spots:
My strategy for this section was avoiding as much trainers as I could until I got the Exp. Share. When I got the Exp. Share,
I replaced one of the Meowths with a Pokémon that was close to evolving and then, give the Exp. Share to that Pokémon.
So I proceeded to battle all the trainers to get the most exp. as I could. However I still had to grind so the best grinding spo
is Route 18.
Poké Flute:
Just talk to one of the NPCs in Mr. Fuji's house and he'll give it to you right away.
