Week 9: Chapter 8 Assignment

Q1: Dear Mr Hicks:

Please be informed that the delivery of order; Rigo Scanner Model 391 on November 2, has been
found in completely damaged condition. I want to highlight that the shipping personnel at out
facility handle and treat each package with care, thus I assure you that the damage has not taken
place here and might presumably be damaged during transportation or docking.

I hope you understand that I underwent through a great deal of inconvenience on account of
receiving this damaged package and I expect you to replace it immediately so that I don't face
any consequences. I am returning the package to the damaged unit and hope you will receive it
within two days.

I expect you to do things right and assure that such problems or issues rarely occur in your
shipping department so that we can be sure about continuing business with you.

Thanks for consideration. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Molly Nelson

Recently I have rendered your service for assembly of furniture from Home Depot
however your executive has charged for logistics and transportation in getting
the parts which wasn't shown earlier in the estimate and as per the website
details, It is not my duty to pay for the additional cost.

I appreciate your cooperation and looking forward to processing of refund for the
additional cost incurred.

Q3: Subject: Daily Bullet Advertisement Regarding The Sale of a Convenience Store in Clark
City

This is regarding the advertisement you published in the Daily Bulletin on May 17. Since I am
planning to relocate to Clark City and would be interested in investing in a local business. So it
quite interests me in purchasing your sale-advertised convenience store.

I would require the following additional necessary information regarding the convenience store
to get a better overview of the business opportunity.

· Exact location of the store

· The total size of the store in square feet.
· Financial statements for the past three years (Cash flows, revenue, profits)
· Pictures of the store, both exterior and interior view. (Long shot and close-ups)
· List of brands you are stocking currently
· Number of employees both permanent and temporary
· The profile of the locality where the store is located (demographic, income levels, age group)
· Age, condition of the building, and any repairs required.
· Type of agreement on the location (freehold, self-owned or leased)

Besides, I would like to know if you would be interested in investing $ 50,000 in the business? If
yes, please advise what would be the rate of interest and payment terms. I would be putting in the
rest of the money.

I would request you to share all the above information at the earliest so that I can drive down to
look at the property and make a final decision.

Thanking you and looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Dinh Huong.
