Freedom of Speech

Over the course of history of the earth you will learn that people are tied within their

beliefs based upon their environment and natural socio-culture they are given and placed in.

Their knowledge is based off their own perspective that tells their story to others around them. It

had caused a lot of conflict in a way that separates people due to the lack of understanding from

their point of view. So whether it was the it is your race, gender, sex, religion or any other

intersectional identity, there always would be a voices. Sometimes the moral and truth gets

covered up by the people that’s in power with money to control the narrative and legal actions

that takes place. So with money and power, you have control.

Within in the United States today, as of today you it would be consider the melting pot of

all countries in the world, people from all over the planet with different cultural backgrounds

come here for freedom and stability. You would see that foreigners have prospered better than

the minorities that’s already was here, but why is that? This is due to the systematic oppression

and racism before immigration that is intact to keep the powers of elite whites intact. Contrarily,

America was founded upon immigration of Europeans that enslave blacks and other people of

color.
When discussing race in America, you will see that white -Americans have put

themselves in a position for great economics and social development ever since the beginning of

slavery. Therefore, when you refer to racism, it is actually founded on the power and

enforcement of one’s will upon the entire country of other people. Furthermore, this will later

cease the opportunity to create financial endeavors and infrastructures for the leading race of

America. So when you have the people with money in power that makes the laws it will create a

sense of control of the people within the society.

Ever since post-slavery, white supremacy have made it hard in every way to keep blacks

for being completely free. Blacks have been trying progress all through segregation and Jim

Crow laws up until the Civil Right Movements. There is clear agendas the shows the

dismantlement of blacks putting themselves in a position of power and thriving economics and

our voices continue to turn the death ear. The only way many blacks have find loopholes though

the system is through intersectionalism to be and feel as equal as whites, but no true power for

the race. It seems to only benefit most of those intersections that they are attached to. This is the

continuation of dividing the people to prevent uprising of another race.

With women’s rights, it’s all about the equal opportunities and a turn of power to make a

difference. Women’s liberation and the feminist movement, it had sparked a cultural shift for

women empowerment and bringing them a voice to be heard. Many black women went with this

movement knowing it would bring them sorts of benefits after the dissolving of the Black

Panther Party in the late 1970’s and early 80’s; although, the Black Panther Party was heavily

centered around pro-blackness and progressivism and was generally consisted majority of young

black females. These changes in black politics were both supported and challenged by the work

of black feminist organizations in the latter part of the twentieth century. Although black women
activists for generations had challenged such perceptions of gender inferiority. Initially, some

black women attempted to distance themselves from the issues raised by the growing white

feminist movement, arguing that blacks as a racial category were subjected to greater oppression

than white females. Others argued that black women were subjected to a particular form of

sexual exploitation that was rooted within the experience of slavery and Jim Crow segregation.

However, these women were also critical of the sexism of black male leaders, which they

deemed destructive to the goals of black liberation. Thus, systematic racism separating the race

of blacks and to be steered on focusing towards specific attributes.

Discussing the LGBTQ community, It has been a huge push their rights as human beings

expressing themselves for who they are when dealing with their sexual orientation. But it seems

as if it is an excessive push for their agenda that has been placed on the frontiers in mass median

and communications. Rather than addressing this constellation of problems, most LGBT

organizations have focused their efforts on working to make the same criminal legal system

provide justice and protection to those it has historically victimized and neglected, specifically

through police sensitivity training and the passage of hate crimes legislation.

The federal government then began to recognize lawfully performed same-sex marriages,

and provide federal rights, privileges and benefits. On June 26, 2015, the United States Supreme

Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that same-sex marriage cannot be prohibited by a state. As

far as black Americans are involved, they have center the gay lifestyle before their intial stand on

black general issues. Seeking gay rights to fulfill their acceptance in America.

Imperialism amongst Africa has been an ongoing epidemic in means of exploiting and

mixing in culture for economic and ownership. Over the past decade, there is neo-imperialism by
China. Chinese corporations are all over Africa.  In June 2017 a McKinsey & Company report

estimated that there are more than 10,000 Chinese-owned firms operating in Africa. The reason

Chinese corporations are in Africa is to exploit the people and take their resources, same thing

European colonists did during mercantile times. This is the view several African politicians have.

The Zambian politician Michael Sata was one of them. At least he was before being elected

President of Zambia in 2011. European colonial exploitation in comparison to Chinese

exploitation appears to begin, because even though the commercial exploitation was just as bad,

the colonial agents also invested in social and economic infrastructure services Chinese

investment, while taking out of Africa as much as can be taken out, without any regard to the

welfare of the local people.

There were several reasons for this. Africa was considered to have poor infrastructure,

political instability, and low income. The trade in oil, gas, gems, metals and rare earth minerals

creates a many detriment of resources in Africa. During the years when Brazil, India, China and

the other “emerging markets” have transformed their economies, Africa's resource states

remained close to the bottom of the industrial supply chain. Everything changed when China

came along.

They put Africa on the globalization map. The continent was placed right next to

Shanghai in terms of Beijing’s business priorities. Africa was at the top of the Beijing economic

agenda. Chinese leaders sent business delegations to every capital in Africa year after year.

What media shows is that Africa is not expecting anytime of colonialism in means for

china to create a “second China” . In recent years, serfdom in the continent has attracted global

attention after videos showed “slave markets” in Libya where African migrants were being

auctioned off in car parks, garages, and as well as public squares. Migration to Libya has also put

Nigerian women in danger, with many being a victim into the dangerous world of sex

trafficking. And despite these practices being widespread, slavery has remained a largely

invisible issue, in part, because it disproportionately affects the most marginalized members of

society, such as minorities, women, and children. Slavery may seem like a relic of history. But

according to the U.N.’s International Labor Organization (ILO), there are more than three times

as many people in forced servitude today as were captured and sold during the 350-year span of

the transatlantic slave trade. ILO calls “the new slavery” takes in 25 million people in debt

bondage and 15 million in forced marriage

In conclusion, it have shown how the benefits of money and power through imperialistic

and colonial tactic has surface to oppress the vast majority of black people. These people want

economic gains but in matters of law it seems that the only option is to enslave themselves in the

conditions of the government they are under.
