Lesson 10

Future Plan

My name is Udin. I have a lot of dreams. When I was child, my dream is to be a pilot. I
have other dreams, sometimes, I want to be a president, an army, doctor and other interesting
dreams. But now I have grown up, now I know what I want to be. 
I almost finish my study in university. I will obtain Bachelor of Science Information. After I
graduate, I want to work in one of the biggest oil companies such as Chevron, Petronas, Exxon,
and so many more. I want to be the staff manager or manager at least. I prefer working in the
field work because it gives me challenge to work over there and they will pay me higher than
work in the office.  All of these are just the beginning of my dreams.
After I work for 4 or 5 years, I will have a lot of money by that time, I will stop my job and
start a business. I will buy 3 or 4 shops and run my shops. Furthermore, I will develop another
business such as futsal court or restaurant and have a good prospect. By that way I will make
more money by own business rather than I work in the company. 
After I run my business, I am going to marry a beautiful woman. I will start to make a
family and planned to have 2 children including a boy and a girl. I will live in a big house with a
garden outside or maybe a pool so that my children can play inside my yard. It will be a little risky
if my children play outside. I just do not want anything bad to happen to my family. And maybe if I
spare money, I want to take my family to Makkah for ’umrah’ or ‘hajj’.  I think that is all about my
dreams. It is just a simple dream for a simple man like me. We do not know when we will obtain
our dream. But one thing is important, we do not surrender to the challenge. A great dream
needs a big effort.

1. Simple Future
Fungsi : untuk menyatakan kegiatan yang akan dilakukan di masa depan

(-) S + will not/won’t + V1 + O

e.g :
(+) I will eat rice
(-) I will not eat rice
(?) will I eat rice ?

2.Future Continuous
Fungsi : Untuk menyatakan kegiatan yang(akan) sedang berlangsung dimasa yang akan
datang
Pattern : (+) S + will + Be + V1 + ing + O
(-) S + will + not + Be + + V1 + ing + O
(?) will + S + Be + V1 + ing + O           
e.g :
(+) They will be playing badminton at 09.00 am tomorrow
(-) They will not be playing badminton at 09.00 am tomorrow
(?) Will they be playing badminton at 09.00 am tomorrow ?
3. Future Perfect
Fungsi : Untuk menyatakan aktivitas yang akan telah selesai dilakukan di masa depan
Pattern : (+) : S + will + have + V3
(-) : S + will + not + have + V3
(?) : Will + S +Have + V3
e.g :
(+) you will have eaten mine.
(-) she will have not left to Rome.
(?) will you have finished?

4. Future Perfect Continuous Tense

Fungsi : untuk menyatakan kegiatan yang akan telah sedang berlangsung beberapa lama
di waktu yang akan datang
Pattern : (+) : S + will + have + been + Ving
(-) : S + will + not + have + been + Ving
(?) : will + S + Have + been + Ving
e.g :
(+) You will have been going to Malang since evening.
(-) you will not have been going to Malang since evening.
(?) will you have been going to Malang?
